Pre-forum history
Noctis was born in a land on another continent. His mother, Aulea, died when he was still quite young, and his father was a busy man that rarely had time for him. This left him quite lonely when he was young, until he got around the age where he started to go outside more and make friends. He knows his three best friends from different occations, but they grew quite close over the years. Apart from his human friends he also got a dog from his father as a birthday present. The black dog was named Umbra by Noctis. Due to an invading empire trying to take the country he was raised in, Noctis fled together with his friends. His father was killed during this war and had sent his son off before he would get caught up into the war as well. Noctis was to be wed to Lunafreya, an arragement that was made when he was still very young, but before they could travel to meet her, an accident happened. Noctis does not know how he came to be on the shores of Rhoynar or what happened to his friends. The only one that was with him was his dog Umbra.
