No rain - no flowers
It didn't happen often, but today was a sunny day and Rhys could do wahtever he wanted. he had been excused from his duties and even though he rather just patrolled the perimeter and made sure everyone was safe and sound, a little bit of rest was always welcomed.
The Kings Guard had decided to ditch his formal armor, get into something comfortable, though he kept his sword at his side, and go for a walk around the blocks. His sister hadn't been so lucky as him and was at work, but maybe he could visit her later today. They hadn't been talking much lately, but Rhysand had been busy and so was she. But they knew even in situations like this, that they could count on each other. They went through hell and back and were sure that if they would ever die, they would crown themselves king and queen.
The sun made sure Rhys felt good today and had brought him to the market. Doing some groceries would probably lift some work of his sisters shoulders so he gladly did it. Maybe they could enjoy dinner tonight together at his place. The castle had never really been her favorite place, but he had made it home. Nothing seemed wrong with today and for once Rhys felt that he could let go of his constant worries. While handing a merchant a few golden coins to pay for the apples, he looked sideways at all the other people who went on with their day, seeming just as worriless as always. Rhys smiled unknowingly before he went on his way. He was about to take a step back, turn around and continue walking when his back hit something. Or rather, someone. The apples fell out of his hands and with one movement he turned around, his hand on the heft of his sword, his eyes narrowed to see who is attacker was. But then he relaxed, thinking that this was just a market and not the castle. ''I am so sorry.'' He apologised, feeling a bit embarrassed for his actions.
