Fear the reapers [Ayana//Achilles]
za sep 30, 2017 3:09 pm
Why so serious?
I'm not the monster, I'm just ahead of the curve
He jumped in one quick pace onto that one lonely rock in the middle of a flat landscape. The corner of his mouth jumped a little up as his eyes trailed the left over from what used to be a beautiful piece of nature. But like all thing disaster reached this place to, like it did everywhere. He hardly believed somebody, or someplace could be entirely peaceful and happy, that just couldn’t exist. Every piece of ground, every single soul walking this earth would stumble upon something that would crack it or him/her open, it was only a matter of time. Or just the right person to talk with. Avanti was a symbol of disaster, he prayed on the weaknesses of others, he loved to see disasters happen, just as he loved to see this burned landscape. And there he stood, turning around his own body as he looked over the asses that represented beauty, now all the beauty there was stood on that rock and it wasn’t beauty to love, it was a darkness to fear.
In what looked to be a decent guy there were years of immortality in between. Avanti showed as a handsome face, he followed that thought in your head with the delicate easy charm. But all of that was just a game, one of the many he played. While walking through the streets of a ridiculous large kingdom all his senses were pointed in the wrong directions. Hearing things others couldn’t hear, smelling things … like the blood pumping underneath their veins. Avanti had no urge on feeding and he know his own control limits better than he did the people wanting it. Every little bit of interaction with him was a curse, every smile, every glimpse of fear … he feed on the wicked, on the chosen ones, on the ones who needed to be punished. Today was not that … yet.
With a black coat from witch the collar stood up he followed his ways in the shadows of this early evening. Although he didn’t had any fear, he was an outside person and hated the crowded streets. When he walked out of those gates he stood still, resting his eyes in front of him towards the forest that laid on the distant. Being a vampire was all about loneness and blood, or at least that was what they say. The people should start to know that his version was a little more excited, intense, for what other reason they would call them a cult? They could be so alone in the world but Avanti was empowered by to other dreadful souls and he felt their arrival swirling around as much as he heard his own breath forcing out of his lungs. His hands sunk in the pockets of his jackets at his pale face reflected with the starting moonlight. Oh what a wonderful night …

Only in their last moments
one shows his true nature
The days always seemed too long, nights never long enough. Nothing seemed to satisfy his endless wandering and wherever his feet took him he couldn't find his own treasure he was searching for. So desperatly trying to get to the one thing he needed in order to survive just a day longer.
Achilles was not a normal man, he wouldn't even be able to hide his 'abnormality' from common eyes. He towered above them standing at a wopping 2.20m He nearly seeed to reach the sky. With broad shoulders and a musculair body. To be fair, he had always been on the big side, but ever since his change he swore he had grown even more. Even bigger and even more dangerous. With his 'friends' he seemed like the most dangerous one. Ayana had her charms and Avanti had a certain.. aura around him, which made him almost approachable. These were their tactics to get to their prey. Achilles had none of these factors. He was just muscle and hate. Combined into a nice little package with curly hair and a wicked smile. Honestly, even looking at himself he understood why he had little to no friends.
He was a greedy man, he wanted more and more with every breath he took. He wanted to belong in the living world and the dead alike. He wished for the end of his days but at the same time longed for more years rotting away. It was an eternal fight which he always seemed to loose to himself. Eventually he had given his lust away and placed his trust for satisfaction in the hands of his lord and master. There was only one man who could hold the leash on the monster that was Achilles. The man he stepped up to right now.
Without word or question Achilles fell in his typical line. Left of Avanti. Just a small step behind him, this was his place. The spot he had fought, killed and destroyed for. The thought alone of what he had done to claim Avanti's left hand side made him smirk while stepping onwards. Waiting for their third member to join.

You're just a mere mortal,
Stuck in a world ruled by immortality.
Night, her favorite time of day? Maybe. Her former family had turned her into a symbol of the night. Not that they had cared if she would have approved or not. To them she was nothing more than a monster and after all those years maybe even more like a ghost story that they told their children to keep them in line. Humans always liked to twist and turn historic events to claim they were not wrong in what they did. For the greater good. Excuses to deny their shame. Ayana never beat around the bush when it came to her being a vampire, killing people, doing bad things. That is who she was now, no excuses.
The ashy soil felt cool beneath her paws, the ground has lost its warmth when the last rays of sunlight had disappeared behind some far away mountains that rose as tiny spiked teeth from the horizon. This was one of the barren spots that had been burned. In the distance there were lush green forests, creating a strong contrast with the stark landscape that lay at their feet. People still lived here, mostly close to the places that were not touched by the flames. She had once listened to someone talking about the beauty of a burned landscape, giving way to new life eventually. Such a human thing to say. She liked Navarre the way it was, both green and barren. It had a sense of realness to it, a harsh truth, a reminder that life was not as beautiful as many a poet or artist portrayed it to be. It could be as ugly as those burned patches of land.
Only the moonlight lit the path ahead of her. If there wasn't she would most likely not have been visible. Her pelt blended well with the night, her green eyes trained to see at minimal light. Ayana had a clear goal tonight. They would be meeting up together. As soon as both men came into sight, she slowed her pace and eventually shifted back into human form before greeting both of them with a grin."Any plans for tonight?" she asked as she walked up to Avanti and held still beside him. No harm done in having a little fun once in a while. They would get away with it anyways.

Why so serious?
I'm not the monster, I'm just ahead of the curve
After working with one another for years Avanti started to feel the others, not through air, or smell or taste, just by feeling. Little more than two weeks passed since they saw each other again, two weeks in which they all did something of their own creating, something that came together to one goal, serving the bigger goal, and that was … themselves. It wasn’t really about the biggest amount of gold, the toughest kill, it was really just rooting their dark strands into others’ lives, the more the better. Avanti had just arrived in this miserable city that deemed to be beautiful. But when he looked over his shoulder back to the hard high walls he only saw something that could be destroyed. They could all three live without one another but together … only the thoughts of reuniting with them pulled the corner of his lips up in an almost amused grin. And all who saw that grin knew he wasn’t up to any good, all who saw the slight purple sparkle in his eyes knew he wasn’t planning on playing safe. He was Avanti and you knew what they say about devils, they don’t play, they dance.
How big and tall Achilles could be, his steps were as quiet as the night. Avanti turned his head hardly an inch, tuning his ears towards the sound of the approaching undead. Even shadows scared away from him, even warriors tend to be afraid of the monster that stopped on his left side, a little behind him. Achilles may be that tall, obedience he was. But even Avanti knew that loyalty could shift and you always had to keep your friends close, your enemies closes, whatever Achilles was, Avanti suppressed it. Avanti turned his head and looked up to the man, knowing the undead didn’t grow anymore he was almost thinking it did. ‘How is my giant fairing?’ Avanti asked, not looking away from the green eyes sneaking up on them. But when he did and looked up to Achilles a short emotionless grin showed on his face. ‘Still fluffy as ever.’ He followed sarcastic. They all had their names, Avanti had a urge on breaking down the once underneath him, even if it were his own members. But he knew that after years among each other, the teasing was just of saying; glad to see you back.
A gorgeous slim build animal shifted right in front of them and Avanti looked from the ground where she first was up into her green eyes. Ayana was different, she would always be. He didn’t need words around her, he could just look and everything sorted out. The grin on her lips was almost as gracious as the movements she always attend to take. Her words brought the real smile on his lips, the dangerous smile, the smile of a prepping hunter. Avanti turned around, looking up to this kingdom. ‘Don’t know, hungry?’ He asked, shifting his look towards Ayana before looking up to Achilles. ‘You seem hungry, eager, aren’t you.’ It was hardly a whispered over the darkness, a smile for the wicked. ‘Let get ourselves some screams.’ He nodded, a face turning entirely dead by the thought a rearing up this little bit of the kingdom into fear. His fingers were arching on calling up the darkness, his lips were trembling on feeling skin. Oh, had he missed the hunt.

Only in their last moments

In this company Achilles had always preferred to keep to himself. Speak when spoken to and keep his words reserved. He followed the man who made him this beast. Was loyal to the cause they 'lived' for. And even formed friendships with both the dark haired male and the woman who could shift to a black cat. But they were not to be fully trusted. Or even if they were. Achilles was the third wheel on a perfectly operating machine.
Ayana and Avanti had been together for longer than Achilles could even begin to understand, he had been quite a bit younger than both of them. They had a dynamic he shouldn't even begin to try and get as well. Simply said, Achilles knew his place and that was the full reason why he had worked for so long in the cult. Other fools had wanted what Ayana had with Avanti. And they had paid with their lives for it. It wasn't pretty to see one of their own die. But it was a fools thought to begin with.
"It's cold up here." He replied back smirking in a reply to the leader of their little friendclub. Avanti was way shorter than he was. Then again, almost everyone was. It had given him many nicknames over the years but that didn't bother Achilles. In fact, nothing really seemed to bother him. He was just a warmonster and well, size helped with that.
Ayana made an enterance with as much grace as she always had, making Achilles cross his arms and lean back a bit. Watching his two companions for a second. Avanti's words as the man turned to them made him smirk wide, showing off his sharpened teeth. "Thought you'd never ask." He grumbled. "Got any city in mind? Or some unfortunate farmers hmm." The thought of blood made his eyes darken. Hunger taking over his system.

Avanti hadn't made any plans yet, but asked them if they were hungry. "Always," she answered. It would be a day to remember if Ayana would ever turn down a hunt. Achilles, the giant of the group, seemed equally excited at the prospect of hunting down some mortals. Of course they had to maintain themselves and feed frequently, but bringing terror to a small town with the three of them together always felt different. It was nice to hunt alone, but to see the other cult members at work beside her was even more thrilling.
They had been working together for quite a while now, especially she and Avanti. She knew exactly what she could expect from their leader, making the use of words often unnecessary. She understood perfectly well with just one look. As for Achilles, he looked like a mindless brute, but he actually knew his place. Humans, vampires, elves, most of them knew a certain hunger for power. Especially men. They would fight over it, showing off. Achilles and Avanti did not bother with such quarrels. Which was for the better, because they would probably tear each other apart if they were both up for it. The ones disrespecting the current hierarchy usually did not last long.
Her attention switched to the town that they were standing next to. Most people were safely inside, some still wandered the streets, drunk or because they had to work a night shift. Enough victims for the three of them to share. Ayana wondered in what ways she would get to her prey tonight. She liked to switch up the ways of playing with her food, so it would never get boring. Human form or jaguar form, most of the time that was the first question. An active chase or an innocent play to get close to someone. Even after having lived this long, she never got bored of it."What are you guys going after tonight?" she asked while glancing sideways. Maybe one of them had already thought something through. Something fun to try.
