His magic helps him during a fight because it let him see a few seconds into the future. When he has a idea of how he wants to attack, he will see how that’ll work out. If it doesn't go according to plan he can change things. The amount of futures he can see depends on his brain and how fast it works. It has saved his life a million times.

HISTORY
No one really knows where he comes from. One day he appeared in Rhoynar after he’d been sailing with some pirates for a while. At his side were two swords, different from those used by pirates or Vikings. Katana's. When people asked him why he was there, he simply said he was looking for someone. A woman he loved and lost. She means everything to him.  
It didn’t take long before his first victim fell. A vampire who lost his head while feeding of a young girl. With one swift cut, the vampire’s head got separated from his body. Casimir didn’t talk to her afterward, but the girls told others that he a wicked smile on his face while killing. Yet everyone thought she was talking about the vampire and not about the man.
He was a hunter and not just some hunter. No, he was very skilled and almost every beast he encountered died by his hand. He showed no remorse, not even when the vampire had told him he was feeding on animals. A monster is a monster. Don’t get fooled because they can say pretty words.
