Strengths: Pallas is also one of his strengths, due to his little brother he has learned not to mock those who are different. His brother also thought him to be compassionate. But his primary strength is obviously his fighting, he is a great warrior and doesn’t know what the word defeat means. But he is also a great tactician especially when it comes to warfare. He has a keen eye on where to place his troops and how to start an attack that will lead to victory.
Weaknesses: His brother Pallas is his biggest weakness, he won’t let anyone harm his brother. He will always put his brother first.  Maybe Ares is a little to honest sometimes, he will speak his mind each and everytime which has caused him some trouble over the years. He is considered as an arrogant person, which isn’t a thing he does out of stupidity. His arrogance is mainly about the way he looks, and about his fighting skills which proceed him.

History

The Naevius family is considered as an important family in Archeon, mainly cause they stand by the king’s side to give him tactical advice when there is a war to fight out or advice in general when the king needs them. Aurelia was known in the city for the great wine she made herself. The wine was something that made her famous among the whole country it had such a distinct taste. While Aurelia bathed in her new proclaimed wealth Cassius was more important for the old king to lead his army. Although he despised the other king, and wasn’t happy with the plans and decisions he was making during his whole rule. So eventually Cassius helped Lareth with keeping the army under control and transitioning it. After the transition was complete he stepped down as commander of the army and lived his life together with Aurelia.

Ares was the first born son in the Naevius family, his parents considered him a blessing. He lived quite luxurious thanks to his parents, they made sure he had everything. Although both of his parents where extremely busy they never hired a person who took care of Ares, they did everything themselves which put a strain on the relation. Two years later his little brother Pallas was born. Not much changed, apart from the fact that his brother was a little bit different from him. Since he was a dwarf. His parent never understood why that happened to them. Due to Pallas being different he was a little neglected by Cassius and Aurelia. But Ares didn’t mind he had someone to play with. A few years had passed and another child was born, a girl this time and completely normal again. Ares was around the age of 5 when his sister was born, and was already busy with learning how to fight and how to make wine himself. It was obvious that the boy had more talent for fighting then for smooching berries.

He excelled at fighting due to the training of his father, but he also started to become really bright. He would always help his parents, mainly his father with more tactical stuff. They always played a little game together with placing troops in the right position. Eventhough he was more driven to train each day he also took the time to play with Pallas, they played a variety of game which also included chess. Games that consumed quite a bit of their time actually since they were both really good players. Ares also became very protective over his little brother and started to take care of him since nobody else would even bother as if he wasn’t really family at all. Both of his parents didn’t really considered the dwarf as family, more as an obstacle which hurt Ares.

Eventually the time came where Ares went to the academy to become an even greater warrior. He became a little over confident in the things he did, not without a reason tho. Ares excelled at fighting was the top student who also had a great interest in the more tactical side of warfare. Many of his fellow students despised him for the way he acted, but he didn’t care. Off course he made friends in the academy, but he also made a few enemies. Off course he didn’t win every fight, but most of the wins went to him. Because he was in the academy he didn’t see his family as often as he’d wanted, which took a toll on him even though he never made it seem so.

15 – 20:
When he turned 15 years old he had graduated from the academy and returned home, to be eventually asked to come work as a kingsguard. His father was both the happiest man alive at that moment and the saddest, since he hated to old king with his heart and he didn’t want his son to be tormented by that hatefull man. Ares was a little nervous at first, but when he eventually met Lareth everything in his life changed. Quite literally. He looked up to Lareth, who he considered as a friend. He considered the man to be better then him in fighting, which was hard to admit. Ares never really looked up to anybody except his new acquaintance. Sometimes when they were of duty the two guys trained together, which made Ares even better.

Not long after he turned 16 he happened to find himself in the throne room. That’s where he laid eyes on Dacosta, Lareth and the king. Everything happened so fast that he couldn’t even react correctly. The king was dead, and here stood he doing nothing. He immediately swore his loyalty towards Dacosta, making sure she would be kept safe during everything that was about to happen. Which he did because of his father, who had always been a bystander of Dacosta and her mother back in the day. He went on a search for his father, who was needed to keep the army in check. Ares never spoke word about what happened in the throne room.

Everything happened quite turbulent but when the storm had passed and it became clear the whole city supported Dacosta’s claim. His father gave up his role as commander of the army when everything settled down and the new king and queen eventually appointed him as the commander of the kingsguard and as the main consultant of the new king and queen. Which he considered as the greatest honor he could get. He swore his sacred vows to protect the new monarchs and will serve until his last breath.
