Anna lived a fairly normal life. Her father was a pirate, often away from home. Her mother spent most of her time praying to the Drowned God for a safe return of her husband. She’d often work at the bar, using her feminine charm to get more tips and be able to give her daughter everything she needed, as it would take a long time before dad came home with any money. She’d often end up bringing men home for extra money, becoming unhappier as time progressed.

When Anna turned eighteen, she went to work at a bar. Her mother had taught her the basics of the job, taught her how to mix a proper drink and what rum was the best. She taught her how to use her charm to get some extra money and how she’d make sure the men would come back to the bar she worked at.

While she wasn’t a natural, she definitely got pretty good in the first few months, before she met a man. He was just like the others, ordering a drink and grabbing her attention for a bit, as they all did. Especially if they had a drink or two. But, his sea blue eyes and his charming beard had swooned her at first sight. While she tried to not show, her heart jumped with joy when he came in a second time. And a third. And a fourth…

At twenty years old, the woman gave birth to the most beautiful baby. She happily quit her job to care for it, while the father spent his time as he always had, on the sea, with the Drowned God. He was not a believer and she had trouble with this, as it meant they hadn’t blessed their daughter. But, she told herself, she’d do it the first time she’d enter a ship. It’d be perfect.

Her daughter gave her life to the Drowned God when Anna tried to bless her, drowning as she was under water for too long. Anna carried her dead body to her husband, the father. Crying, she told him the Drowned God must need her by his side, as that was the only explanation she had. Their relationship ended, he never wanted to see her again, to say the least.

Anna went back to her life as a bartender slash waitress, serving the brave pirates that spent their life at sea in a busy bar in Brightwater Keep, earning a fair share of money as she used her innocent looks for more tips of desperate lonely men. While she was originally planning to do this for a while, word of a preacher of the Faith reached her…
