He had asked multiple times if it was okay that he went along with her. But Elayne insisted and he didn't want her to be all by herself at the party either. So he would just shove his mood aside and go with her. As he walked the hallway towards the room he felt uneasy. People were going to stare at him, point at him and maybe even laugh. He would have to endure it. Elayne did so much for him, this was the least he could do in return. When they entered he looked straight ahead and kept walking beside Elayne towards the woman who he assumed was the Allison he heard so much about. Elayne congratulated Allison with her wedding and of course, the kingdom that she also got. But instead of saying thanks she immediately pointed him out. Saying that he wasn't Juno, Elayne's dog. "I'm well aware that I'm not just some dog. Maybe it would have been more appropriate to say something like: 'Golly gosh, thanks Elayne', before pointing out the elephant in the room. That elephant being me, of course." he spoke in a cranky voice. "Nice to meet you, my name is Gwynn. I hope Elayne will fill you in on the details about how she... acquired me." that wasn't the correct word for it, but he couldn't think of anything else at the moment. His eyes fell onto a child at Allisons side. She didn't seem scared about him, rather curious if you would ask him. She asked if he was friendly. The white wolf stepped forward and pressed his nose against the childs arm. Gwynn wasn't all that friendly towards monsters and some humans. But with kids he had always been gentle and kind. Maybe... if the little one rode his back they could raid the buffet together. Maybe... but that was all for a later time this evening.

The truth doesn’t matter The friendly smile still sealed Evelyn her lips. Though it could be taken as a passive aggressive one, it was close enough to at least seem like a friendly one. For the people who didn’t know her that well. Those who didn’t know about the whole situation between her and the Duke. Turning her body to the rest of the room, she rested her back against the counter of the bar. Watching the people come in, gather around the new rulers. Concluding there wouldn’t be much that really knew, and opting it as a good thing. It meant the dark haired lady could easily pull off her almost too friendly smile. At least if she could hold onto that little expression, but that was were the wine was for, right? More and more people came in, so much she really didn’t knew. Wondering if they all knew the new grand duke and duchess, or if they used the occasion to set themselves on the map for them. It surely was an interesting thing to watch how everyone was really, really nice. All but a few coming in and heading towards the pair to congratulate them. The ones that didn’t, found their own companions, making the small talk which was such a common thing to do. With the more that came in, the more Eve asked herself under which stone she had lived for the past couple of months. Finishing her glass of wine she turned around, ordering a new one immediately after. Maybe, if she’d have enough alcohol in her vines, she would actually be able to socialize some more, and come out underneath that stone she lived under. Taking a sip from her new wine, Evelyn gazed at the new guests again. Someone even brought in a wolf, that to her surprise even talked. Slowly raising an eyebrow on it, she checked her glass to see if there would be something in her wine that made her see stuff that wasn’t there. But it really seemed like plain, normal, decent wine. Before she could really think about it, a voice whispered in her ear. Quickly turning towards the direction the voice came from, she saw she apparently missed someone come in. One of the few she did know, making her smile a bit broader for a few seconds. ’You always have a way of coming in, haven’t you.’ She said at Valdimarr, supressing the cold shivers running down her spine. ’I wouldn’t call it “enjoying” but it’s fine enough.’ Eve explained herself, keeping that same neat smile around her lips. ’How have you been doing?’ Readjusting herself she looked at the new rules before looking back, wondering how many would know what exactly happened. |

Elayne smiled sheepishly when Allison immediately noticed Gwynn and asked her if she knew that she had not taken Juno with her but someone else. The young woman nodded. "I know, I know, but this is my new friend, Gwynn" she quickly explained. He seemed to get in a few words of his own, but left the explanation of how they became friends to her. Meanwhile, a young child asked if it was a wolf that she had brought with her and if he was friendly. Elayne nodded, but it seemed that Gwynn had already decided to show he was a kind wolf instead of just explaining it. "I found Gwynn in the woods. He was badly injured so I took him with me to our house to take care of him," she said matter of factly. As if this was some scenario that she was used to. Her attention snapped back to Dante when he greeted her as well and invited her for a dance later on. "That would be lovely," she told him as he was walking away. She never danced before, but she had read about it and people seemed to think it was a fun thing to do.
