Dear Miss Keightley,

Following our conversation at the late Duke's dinner party, I honestly couldn't help but feel a little bit surprised at the statement you made that evening, indirectly stating the wine from the isle of Cois is better than the wine of Sunfall.

I suppose you realise that simply can't be true - which is why I thought of something to settle this issue once and for all (it has been nagging me, can you tell?): a little wine tasting. Here. On Sunfall. What do you think?

Dear mister Ethelwin,

I must say you had me thinking there for a minute, to what statement you reffered to. I remember it being something along the lines of: "I hope there is at least decent wine from Cois here." Honestly, I don't see what the problem with that statement is. If that means I'm stating indirectly that the wine from Cois is better than that from Sunfall, so be it.

However, if my wine needs to prove itself otherwise, I would be more than happy to settle the issue. If that would mean that our cities can live in peace with whatever result, a little wine tasting doesn't sound that bad. Especially since it's so clearly on your mind, I'll accept the invitation. Will you do me the honor of getting some of the finest wines from Cois? I'm not there at this moment, so getting any of the good wine would be, a problem. If you would do so, I'd be in the occasion of traveling directly to Sunfall.

My apologies for my rather blunt and direct message, but as you can see I am quite passionate about the subject, as I am quite a connoisseur myself (if I may say so).

It's wonderful you have accepted my invitation - and a (hopefully) friendly meeting between two fellow city rulers can't hurt, can it? Even if there's some rivalry involved. I feel like there's a lot to discuss, apart from the wines.

I will send a cog ship to Brightwater Keep immediately to pick up some bottles of wine. Let's hope there are still a few left after the wedding feast of the new Duke and Duchess.

Dear mister Ethelwin,

Apologies accepted. Passion is never a bad thing, and I guess we share it when it comes to wine. It’s good to hear that, since I have a decent and delicate taste as well.

I can say the invitation comes at quite the right timing, so I’m more than happy to accept it. I hope it is a friendly meeting as well, even though we are both passionate wine tasters. Our cities can profit greatly from our meeting, I think. I feel the same way, even more reason to plan it as soon as possible.

Very good, I talked to the port today, and there will be a ship going to Sunfall tomorrow. I’ll take that one, the shipper said it would take just a couple of days to set sail. I’m hoping that as well, but I’m expecting they had a large stock of wine after all.
