♕ HISTORY
Darian du Maurier was a successful traveling Navarran merchant. On one of his travels to Valyria, he met the love of his life: Vorya Thysesh. After a long relationship that mostly consisted of writing each other, they got married and Vorya moved to Darian’s place of birth, D’Auvignon. A few years later, Ophelia, the eldest of their children, was born in the same city.

She grew up safely inside the walls of the city, enjoying a decent education due to her father’s relative wealth. She spent most of her time studying various topics as well as helping around the house and watching her younger siblings. She grew into a smart, kind and well-mannered young woman. It was during this time that she discovered her supernatural ability to heal others as well. She is able to heal major wounds, although it takes an incredibly huge toll on her and she might pass out before the wound is entirely healed.

At the age of sixteen, her mother passed away while hunting outside the safety of the city walls and from that day on, Ophelia grew fearful of the wilderness. She started having panic attacks and refused to ever leave the city. Her father, overcome with grief, could not handle the breaking down of his eldest daughter as well and decided she should get out into the world. Via various contacts, he arranged for her to be appointed a handmaiden to Queen Dacosta Laendaerys.
