You're a weapon

A soft sun shines through the laced curtains that where softly blowing against her windows. Slowly Ravenna awakens and rises from her bed, her eyes closed and her lips softly curved into a smile as she moves her hands towards the side of her bed. Her body twirls and swiftly moves herself up from the bed. Moving herself through the rather large bedroom. Finding her way through the bedroom without hesitation walking on her tip toes, she knows her own room like the back of her hand. Ravenna removes her nightgown and opens her closet. Softly she caresses the fabrics of her dresses the next one even more beautiful than the one before, she picks one of her favorites; a beautiful light grey one with flowers Embroidered on her waist and upper part of her body. (X) The fabric falls loosely around her body, and tightens just around her waist. With long slender fingers she combs through her hair and twist some locks so they curl a bit. Ravenna never takes long getting ready in the morning. Although she loves to feel beautiful in her dresses. As she stood up she looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled softly. Her feet seem to float above the ground as she makes her way through the castle. Greeting her sister with a soft smile and a kiss on her cheek she made her way towards the ‘dining’ room and “steals” an apple from the plate. Ever since the princess got more freedom in this rotten castle she became more alive and happier than ever. Even her father asked her whats up with her humor lately. It was not only because she got more freedom. It was also because she had planned to go out of the castle for a while and move herself around in the city. Of course she had to take guards and a maid with her as company and for protection. But little did she cared about them right now. Although her goal was to get rid of them as soon as they arrived in town. But she had to think about a plan to do so. (Father would definitely have their head if they tell him they lost the crown princess.) She just could not wait to go outside these walls again. As happy as a little kid she twisted around with the apple still in her hands. Once the men had taken care of her carriage Ravenna hushed her way outside as in a hurry she lifted up her dress and placed herself into the carriage. In an instant she touches the purple ring around her finger which her mother had given her for het 16th birthday. She was 18 now and still as innocent as a dove but sometimes she felt more mature than her sister which was basically the same age as her. The corner of her dark pink coloured lips where curled up and as the guards where placed on their horses she nodded slowly to them so that they could continue their way. Her maid had also taken place into the carriage. There where not many days that she would be able to travel on her own through the city. But her father agreed on it this time so she had to make use of it. Her eyes sparked once they left the castle gates and rode for a few minutes on a narrowed road towards the city. She could see the houses from a distance and remembered from some time ago. As in an instance she almost got whipped out of her bench and could barely hold herself up. Ravenna pushed herself back into the bench and pointed her gaze out of the carriage seeing a guard appear. My lady, the wheel of the carriage got stuck and it broken in half. the man's voice was soft almost trembling as he saw her eyes turning dark. Really?! Her voice gasped as the lady opened the carriage door and moved herself out of the carriage. Lifting her dress up so there wouldn't get any dirt on it. And how long is this going to take? was her next question. Well, we have to remove the wheel and make sure it will be repaired. It could take a few hours.. Ravenna shook her head by hearing his words. Of course he only did his job but this was her only day she would be able to escape from the castle. Fine, fine fine Benjen. Make sure this wil be fixed. But I am going to the city before she knew she walked towards one of the guars. Make sure father doesn't find out about this. Ooh and after you are finished with this. You can come and find me in the city. That is my demand for you. Ravenna's voice was sharp but her eyes turned lighter again as she pushed herself up on the horse. But my lady?! what if something happens?. After she heard the man talking again she turned the horse towards him. Nothing will happen, and no one will find out. Now do as I say. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
or rather, he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
It had been days. Perhaps weeks in the saddle. His back was sore and his eyes had fallen in his skull, deep purple circles hollowing under them showing his lack of sleep.
He had been used to a lack of sleep before but this was different. He now was in a different enviroment. Had turned up to these strange lands without knoledge of what to do.
Devon was normally an outspoken young soulder. A commander in his own legion. But after the fall. After history had forever altered his name into a monster and he had lost the only thing he had lived for the young man was left no other option than to flee. It had been abandoning all of his life and all hope, starting over with nothing but a horse and the promise of his word or a quick end of his life by the knife of his superior.
It had been a far better option for his honor and for his families honor if he had taken the knife and faced his destiny of death with pride. But he had taken the high road. Too scareto face whatever comes after death and clinging onto something as basic as life.
It had led him here. He had heard rumors of the grand capital of Fallen Skies. A city he had never wished to visit. But now with the need of coin and food there were little options he could take. the desert would be too harsh of a ride once more on an empty belly and his horse also needed food and drink.
It could bring him more than enough options for something good. It had to.
Yet it seemed that even before he entered the city trouble already found him. A broken down carriage that seemed almost royal by the amount of decorations surrounded by guards talking angrily to eachother about something he did not quite get. Their hurried voices were too soft for him to hear clearly. Riding past quickly he hid his face from them. Rule number one he had found out was don't get seen. Don't raise any attention or suspicion to yourself unless you're willing to raise a sword afterwards.
Something he was not willing to do in a land he didn't even know.
So riding on he thanked the gods for not being called back hoping he could just continue his journey when he came upon another horserider. A woman cloaked in a dress already more expensive than he could ever dream. If this was the common standard of wealth in Archeon then he would have a hard time ahaid.
So as he rode past her, or atleast tried to with as much grace as the weakend and still quite injured soldier could he gave her a curtosy nod. Not recodnizing her or what she could potentially be. Who knew, perhaps all the talk of ruthless and moneyhungry citizins had been lies like so many other things. Only one way to find out is it not?
"Good day m'lady. Also heading to the city?" He asked a small grin turning up his upper lips. Probably looking like a major creep with the way he was dressed but that didn't cross his mind. Just wondering if the lady could do with some company.

This 'accident' definitely made a black hole in her day. She had lost a lot of time coming to the city with the carriage and now she also had to ride herself. Like she was some kind of traveler. Although her looks and clothes betrayed her origin almost immediately. She was not happy with this. Not at all. And for that fact, you could really tell she was 'spoiled.' Once Ravenna had find a place in the saddle on the horse she rearranged her dress a bit and made sure it wouldn't be dragged through the mud. Last thing she wanted was too look messy and stuff. Her slender fingers ran down the reins and she felt the fabric of it on her hands. Her almost raven locks of hair felt loosely over her shoulders and defined her face in a subtile way. A soft smile appeared on her lips once Ravenna had left the guards on their own. finally .. freedom.. the princess whispered to herself as she sighed and pierced her eyes back at the carriage. Before she came to the conclusion that her maid has been following her while she was riding away from her guards. Liza, I told you you could stay with the guards and come find me afterwards. She almost hissed at her. But my princess. My orders where to not leave you on your own. You father insists on it. was the answer to the gruesome words of the princess. Ravenna turned herself back into the saddle and sighed. Of course he did that... he can never let me be by myself. Keep your distance then Liza. her voice rather soft and calm this time. As the maid followed her orders and made some meters of distance between them. Knowing that her parents would never lose their sight on her. She always had to behave and make sure nothing will overcome her.. For she was the crown princess and one day.. she had to make a claim to the throne. But for now. She wished that day would never happened. For now.. she just wanted to be on her own. As the city became more clear the closer she came the more nervous her belly felt. That was the point when she knew she was all by herself. With no guards to protect her from any harm. It was only her, and her small dagger. The one her mother gave her so she could always defend herself or escape from any ropes. Ravenna pointed her light blue eyes on every soul that rode past her. Sometimes she nodded a little and most of them startled when they got her attention. Her curiosity awakened as a soldier passed her by. He looked dim. More dead than alive. But under all that dirt she saw his perfect dark eyes that pierced out on her as two glinthawks waiting for their prey. Her breath startled for a second but she could wave that away as soon as it came. It is indeed a good day sir Ravenna smiled softly. Silently gazing at hem from behind her long lashes. Goddamn, what had she brought herself into. She only wanted to travel to the city, and not being bullied by some random strangers. For a short moment she became quiet. Looking for the words she wanted to answer his question with. Yes in fact I was just travelling to the city when my carriage broke down.I guess you must have seen it some miles behind us. She chuckles, her voice light and bubbly, much appreciating his eye for detail. What are your plans on this sunny day sir? She really didn’t want to know, but curiosity got the better of her. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
or rather, he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
He had expected quite a lot from this city. As it was advertised all throughout Fallen Skies it sounded like a city only the richest of rich may live. A wonderous world where no one was allowed except for royalty and royal asslickers.
It seemed that he wasn't wrong on that front. This city litterly looked like it could be made up of gold. Every street was cleaner than the last one and the people stood tall as if there was not a fear on their minds.
He was vermin to them. A small roach that entered their borders and who they had to recieve with a smile out of respect. Or well. A small sign of respect. There was no respect in these people. They were cold and heartless, it didn't take long for him to realise this. These people were all dangerous and they knew it themselves just as well.
Just like the woman who he had just spoken too. She seemed as dangerous if not more than anyone else, or all combined. Her piercing eyes kept him staring for a little bit too long and the smirk curling around his lips didn't seem to want to leave his face. He had found his death in this place. That was a certainty to him. If all women here stared like this strange woman could then for certain he would end his life at her knees.
"Your carriage you say? I must've seen it quite a few miles away then. You've riden a long way since then." He smiled a bit pleased with himself that he knew what he was talking about for once in this strange land and scratched himself behind his head. "Yeah. Quite a while. All the way from Mothers Heart in fact. That place is quite the opposite of this city.." He looked around again. Complete opposite you could say. That city was build on fast travel and easygoing where the houses here were made to impress. Or scare.. Perhaps that was a better phrasing.
Her next question made him look up, half a smirk turning on his face as he looked at her. "Well I did come here to find some work laying around for a strongarm. But I could always just ride around guarding a lady who left her own guards to tow a carriage out of the mud?" If only he knew who he was speaking to. He normally wasn't at all an easy speaker especially not against higher-ups or royalty. But this woman was just a woman for him. On a journey to the city with some guards. No reason to suspect anything more from her.

As she heard the man talking again Ravenna listened carefully. Thinking about her reaction very wisely. Well I could not wait for them to be finished with the carriage. Ravenna did not want to tell him everything just now. After all he was a stranger .. and a stranger from a foreign land she had never see. As he stated that she had riden a long way she laughed soft. She has been driving since she was 7 years old so she could handle herself quite well in the saddle. Her sister and she used to do some races with their horses in the castle garden and in the desert near the Castle. They used to ride so fast that it got on the guards their nerves and they had to chase them. Lucky for the two sisters they where smaller and much lighter so they would easily ran them out. Yes I actually have. It is a nice day for a ride and you get bored of that carriage form time to time. She answered him looking at him from the corners of her eyes behind her long lashes. Mothers heart hmm? Must have been a long journey then, my lord. Ravenna never got further then the borders of Valyria. And that was because she had to travel with her family because she had to meet a former prince she would be we off too. When her father saw the guy he laughed so hard of the poor appearance that the other family and the prince drifted off. And that day she was so happy with her father. That.. probably was the only day she would ever be happy with him. A soft smile appeared on her face as she thought back about this event. And once they got back into the castle they talked about it all night. As her thoughts drifted away to the man next to her again she tried to find his gaze and nodded a little. I have heard of that land. Unfortunately I never got the change to see it for myself you see.. It is very kind of you to offer sir, but this lady can handle her business very well. Maybe that was a lie, but maybe she didn’t want to come over as a damsel in distress. A sad feeling ran through her body as she though about the fact that she had to stay here for her own sake. The fact that she longed to see something of the world would be totally ignored by her father. Will you take me to mothers heart one day sir?! Was her sudden reaction as she turned her body towards him almost losing her balance. Forgetting the fact that she was a crown princess and that travelling to a foreign land with “wildlings” would not really be a good idea.. Oh dear, what had she just said. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
It would be a lie if he said the girl did not interest him. She was gorgeous and mysterious. He had to wonder wether she was real at all or just some figment of his imagination. Either way, this was a dream he wasn't quite finished with just yet. So he hoped he would sleep for a long while if he was really asleep at all.
Her first words seemed carefully chosen. Words a stronger would speak against a stranger and he nodded slow. This was talk he could handle. Well calculated on either side and over an easy subject. "That's a shame m'lady, Mothers Heart is not as all as it's reputation holds up here." He smirked half, glad he had something to talk about. "Vanaheim is a mountain rich area with lots of grasslands. Wildlife as diverse that you couldn't count the kinds of animals on your two hands."
He had to chuckle. Wondering wether this lady had ever seen the borders of Valyria. She seemed like the type who spend her days in one city. Enjoying her rich private life. Making others work for her and beg her daddy for more money to buy jewelry and expensive clothes. Not a woman who would be interested in traveling the world and finding new places to set sail.
This is why her next wave of words suprised him that he himself nearly lost his balance as well. Her plea came unexpected and he had to stare at her confused. "Ehm.. Sure, but are you sure about that?" He pulled up an eyebrow stopping his horse in the pathway. "I mean, I'd love to take a lovely lady like you anywhere. But we aren't very well aquatanced." He narrowed his darker eyes a bit and leaned towards her trying to find his smirk back behind his confused face.
"Devon, Devon McConnell." He held out his hand to take hers. Ready to place a kiss on her hand. That would be step one to get to know eachother. Then came step 2 to 189 before they could even begin to think about making a visit to Vanaheim. But like he said, if the lady would want it. He had nothing else to do in his life and seeing her carriage the father would pay well for some extra protection for his little girl. Yep, Devon needed a job. And if this here would become hsi job he'd be more than pleased. Bodyguarding payed well.

Ravenna loved hearing stories. It did not matter to her what kind of stories it was. She and her sister could tell stories for hours. Making up different fantasies and create their own worlds was what she loved to do the most next to horse riding and dancing. Ooh,.. how many hours have they been practising their dances to impress the guys with their most beautiful dresses and best dance moves. Those times where something she would never forget. But everything changed since Robin left the castle more often and left her alone. But right now she does not want to think about it. Right now she had the pleasure of being in company with a handsome stranger. Someone who would ‘hopefully’ protect her and take care for her if anything happens. As she woke up her eyes fluttered and found their way to his again. It sounds amazing, the way you describe it.I would love to hear more stories about this country! With a playful smile on her face they rode on. Most things we see here is sand. sand sand sand glorious sand. Her voice chuckled as she let her fingers glide over the reins. But as the man stopped his horse she knew she had said the wrong thing. She had been too enthusiastic and she had probably scared him off. Her eyes grew wider a little and Ravenna also stopper her horse turning herself towards the man. I.. I am sorry. I should not have said that. Ravenna nodded her head and tucked her hair behind her ear. Everything would be better than to rot here away. That is why I want to leave. she whispered softly as she looked back from where they came. But could she ever leave? She was definitely not like Robin. She had never learned to be brave, stubborn or outgoing. She always stayed in line and most of the time Robin got into trouble. A watery smile could be seen on her lips as the man said his name. In an instant she reached out her hand to him and put on a smile. It is a pleasure to meet you Devon. “My name is Ravenna, if you wish to call me.” She says softly, her voice barely audible above the turmoil of people around them. Her lips curls into a small grin, cautiously taunting him a bit. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
He couldn't help but chuckle. She was adorable, that was one thing. Besides that she seemed wise for her age and had some adventurous side inside of her. Devon guessed she wasn't often allowed outside of the city. She must have some rich daddy who was too afraid to loose his precious daughter. It was irritating and saddening to see. But what could he do about it. He was a simple soldier. A man overruled by the world and run down into the ground. There was nothing left of him and nothing left for him.
Devon himself wasn't all that old, but the world had turned him harder and harder in an instant. He wasn't himself anymore, or atleast. He didnt know for sure who his true self had really been all this time. Was it the martyr who wanted to die on the battlefield of a war he didn't believe in. Was it the coward who ran from his duties and left his men to die. Or was it the wanderer lost in a all new world. It seemed like he had lived multiple lives all in the span of one.
He wanted to take her away from this place, show her the true beauty of the world outside of this sandy hole but at the same time he knew this would be foolish. He couldn't take this lady away from her city and her life. There would instantly be a prize on his head and a manhunt on his life. Even if he was the charming boy he acted like he was, that was way too much of a prize for such a small reward.
Still he smiled brightly at her when she spoke his name and held his hand out to her. "Well met M'lady Ravenna." He smirked, not realising he had heard that name before with a certain title before it. It just seemed familiar to him, but not special. "And well, for a travel to Vanaheim we'll need a lot of preparation but do not fret. We will get there someday." He winked at her. Not wanting her to feel like she had spoken wrongly or said something bad.

“My lady..” It was almost cute that he probably did not knew who he was talking to. And she wanted to keep it that way.. For a while at least. People would probably start recognise her in the city anyway. Ravenna got a bit bored of the title Princess Ravenna Eloïse Valyria Akesh, crown princess of Valyria. As they where speaking to her like she was some kind of object. Ravenna nodded a little a took her hand back to place it on the reins of the horse again. She smiled softly as he winked at her her face turning a bit redish. I would love that sir. Once they arrived in what is called the heart of the city Rav stopped her horse and let herself glide of it. Letting her slender flingers glide over the fabric of the dress she re arranged it a bit and pulled the reins over the horse it’s head. Well I guess this is it. She began letting her Blue eyes gaze into Devon’s. I don’t know what Vanaheim looks like.. but I guess that I can say this is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Rav smiled and let her eyes gaze away from him towards the large ‘mostly white’ buildings all around them. It is always so busy here and I just love looking at all the people around me and what they are doing. She would probably sound like a creep after that. But it didn't really matter for her. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
She seemed pleased with him. Well that went better than expected. They were still strangers but atleast it wasn't that hard to talk to her or make her smile. Now all he had to do was keep up his behavriour and perhaps she'd have a job open for him. "Then let's make it a deal." He smirked holding out his hand for her to shake it.
The heart of the city was even more grand than he had expected. And he had to wonder wether this was all made with normal materials or Gold. How much money did they have to waiste aroun here? It almost made him feel dizzy as he stared around in awe. "This is the most gorgeous capital I have ever laid my eyes on indeed." He nodded. Too in awe to make a flirtatious joke of his own sentence but turned back to her again. "Mothers heart is build to move. They settled up pretty save now, but can change and twist themselves around however they want. It's.. grand in another way." He smiled soft and chuckled. "Don't you got a job to do then? Seems like you got an awful lot of free time m'lady." He dared to joke, hoping to keep their conversation light.

She never would have thought that a stranger would agree so easily on her questions. But there was something about this man that triggered her. It’s a deal Sir A bright smile fancies her rosy lips as she placed her hand in his and shook his hand. As he started talking about how he fancied the city she smiled. “I knew you would” she laughed about his joke. ”This city always had something captivating. If you only imagine all the treasures the King keeps in his household She winked at him. Life would be so much easier with all the money in the country. Ravenna chuckles as Devon started talking about Mothers heart again. He seemed to know a lot about the place. Just the right guy to take her with him. It is interesting that a capital like that can be on the move in no time. I cannot imagine how big it must be Devon. Ravenna finishes her sentence and then point her eyes in his again. As he turned himself to her again asking her about her job she almost choked. He did not need to know she was a princess. Not right now. But she also did not thought about the fact she had to act like a normal ‘lady’. I got many jobs, sir. She turns back to him, her sea blue eyes bright beneath spiderweb lashes. Although I prefer to not call them ‘jobs' They are more like ‘hobbies’. You know. What a lady does; dancing, sewing, horse riding, playing the piano, disturbing the guards she utters. her voice flowy and consistent. Wiggling the ring purple ring around her finger for a bit. The fact that she did not need a job and lived from the money she got from her father shoving away. And as she pointed her place away from Devon she saw her guards appear in the distance. In a sudden moment a shiver ran down her spine and she looked back at him. Her dark hair falling over her shoulders again. What do you say we go for a drink? As a thank you for guarding me to the city. Her voice was softer this time but stil filled with pleasure. And before she would even let him answer Ravenna grabbed him by his arm. I know a place in town where I often go with my sister. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
He was honestly quite happy that she seemed so into the idea of visiting a small capital like Mothers Heart. He had never expected that a big city girl like this one before her would be interested in anything but jewelry and pretty dresses.
"Oh? you know of the kings treasures?"
It was merely a joke to keep the conversation going. He still was quite unaware of he true identity and that maybe made him the biggest idiot there was on earth or just estranged from the entire world. It didn't quite matter. She was already above him right now. If he found out who she really was than she would still be right above him. Only he would be on his knees in the dirt begging for forgiveness for his idiotic words.
"Well it's completely built for its enviroment M'lady." He nodded as he looked around the people that were working. "Everyone is always prepared to change if the weather gets worse or they are attacked. It's.. quite a loaded feeling actually. Not at all as easygoing as the world is here." He turned back to look at her again. "Disturbing the guards hmm? That doesn't sound like a ladies tasks." He smirked playfull and pet his horse which was rather thankful that they had stopped moving. The poor beast would be exhausted after the long travels.
She invited him for a drink and nodded with a smirk. "That sounds amazing m'lady." He nodded and went along with her. Having noticed the guards from the corner in his eyes understanding that she was not quite ready to spend her entire day with them again and walked along with her. "You got a sister?" He asked interested looking at her hand which was still holding onto his arm with a smirk.

Ravenna would be glad to leave this landscape. Even if it was just for one day. Her heart wanted to leave this cage for far too long but her head always stopped her from doing so. Maybe this guy could finally set her free and unchain her. She loved how little informed he was about this country, about this city to be more clear. The corner of her lips curled a bit up as she turned her gaze towards him again. Sir, everyone here in Archeon knows of the golden tables the royal family dines on. The golden cups they place heir lips around and the most expensive wine that fills their bellies. She smiles. Her eyes playful. Not to forget about the most expensive dresses in the world and the large festivities they celebrate every once in a while. as her attention was drawn to a few villagers who passed by she followed them with her blue eyes. Saving all their details into her mind until she turned back to the man. As the man in front of her pointed out the fact that she was disturbing the guards once in a while her face blossomed. Sometimes even a lady must step out of her ‘comfort zone’, sir. she smirks softly as she let her fingers go over the horse it’s muzzle feeling the soft skin under her fingers made her smile for a bit. You see, men can do what they want. When they want. a soft sight spilling from her lips. Woman need to behave like a delicate flower, being all pretty in their dresses and polished hair. And it was true. The ‘High society’ was a maze of fake persons who wanted to be in your debt the entire time. Everyone wanted something from anyone and if they knew you belonged to the royal family ‘everyone’ instantly became a friend. Luckily for her and Robin she had known better. Her mother had trained her well enough to build up a wall and only let people in who matter. As soon as Ravenna saw the guards appear in her eyes she grabbed Devon his arm holding herself closely against him and invited him for a drink. Before he could even start questioning her she already started walking. And as he went along with her she felt her muscles relax for a bit. The streets where rather busy these days so it would not be for too long until the guards would lose their sight on her. As she turned into a street with some market stalls a smile appeared on her face. It was the most famous fabric market in town and seeing all the colors and fabrics made her light up a bit. As the two of them walked and Ravenna pointed her gaze onto the stalls she heard Devon talking again. There was a lot more noise here but he was still hearable and she turned her gaze onto his again. Yes I have a sister. she began She is my younger twin sister to be honest. Before she realised it that her hand was still placed around his arm he was already looking at her. As soon as she noticed it Ravenna pointed her eyes in his for a moment and pulled her slender hand back. I’m sorry She chuckles sarcastically, avoiding eye contact now as she let her hands go over the fabric of her dress. Brushing it until it looked nice and tidy again. Trying to hide the embarrassing in her eyes. Do you have any family members around here? Or are they still in Mothers heart? she inhales. Her voice a little stronger than before. i moved earth and water for you |

The world he had left was not ready for his return
he was not ready to return to the world he had left.
A slightly confused brow was raised as she spoke and laughed a bit. "Well then again I am not from Archeon now am I." He smirked at her. Making sure to wink in his smirk before he walked onwards. Trying to find something to change the subject. He did not like the fact that he didn't know certain things. He was a rather proud man from time to time. Sure he would admit where he was wrong but if he so could he'd like to avoid having to admit things like that.
"But then I got a good deal for you." He smirked leaning a bit towards her. "I'll tell you about Mothers heart and other cities you wish to hear of. And you, you tell me everything you know about Archeon and Valyria." Smirking again he nodded. Happy with himself for thinking of such a plan. Yes what could go wrong of they made a deal like that.
She spoke about how woman were expected to behave like flowers. Delecate and pretty and while he agreed that that was how most of the world saw woman, especially in her position. He couldn't be more against the fact. In all his life he had seen woman fight more bravely than a thousand men. He was absolutely sure that 10 woman would be better than him in where they stood in their life, in just the radius of maybe 20 meters from where they were stading. The lady next to him being absolutely in that total. She seemed fierce. Every word she spoke hold a power he didn't quite understand. She wasn't a normal lady nor a warrior as he had seen before.
she was something else entirely.
It seemed to puzzle him in more than one way. She was like a fever dream. An creature only god could have created. "A twin sister hmm. surely there cannot be two people holding such beauty in this world." He smiled at her a sigh leaving his lips as she pulled her arm back from his skin. Her resting touch leaving a burning emptyness on his arm where her warmth had just rested. He shook it away and looked up at the bright sky. Wondering how he could react to her words. "I.. don't think they are nearby." He spoke careful looking back at her. "My mother died when I was younger. My father.." His face turned harder. a mask falling in front of his face to hiide his emotions. "Well I'm pretty sure he's in Falkreath.. He and I have never really spoken in real life. But I get the occasional letter." Especially if he had written the man first. And the replies would often be short. But that was enough for him. The option of tens.. hundreds? of children he kept behind. He didn't like to be one of the many. He was that in his soldier life and that was a way to deal with it. but in his actual life he wanted to be an individual. An person with a reason to exist. Not just because his mother was poor and his father a horny asshole. No. That wasn't the reason for his existence. And he would never let another soul believe that it was. His pride was too big for that.

Talking with him went so much easier then a few moments before. Not even an hour ago she wanted to be alone, by herself. Just walk around the market watching the few fabrics the people sold there for her new dresses. She had craved for it. But right now she just craved for this mans attention. A warm and blossomy feeling filled her body as he talked about her and her sister. "A twin sister hmm. surely there cannot be two people holding such beauty in this world." her face turned red. Surely sir, she almost stumbled over her own voice. my sister is way more beautiful.. and outgoing. Her last words where only a whisper into thin air as she turned her gaze towards him again and smiled. Hiding away her true emotions about that matter. Ravenna let her slender fingers slide trough her dark hair and turned her gaze away. Following his gaze up into the air onto him again. I.. don't think they are nearby." He spoke careful looking back at her. "My mother died when I was younger. My father.." She could see the emotion on his face change, from a warm and wonderful smile to something she was not entirely sure of. It was grief. Grief mixed with a lot of pain and despair, but also pain. I am sorry... she spoke soft. Her voice a bit more concerned. But before she could even continue her words he already started talking again. "Well I'm pretty sure he's in Falkreath.. He and I have never really spoken in real life. But I get the occasional letter." For a moment she felt completely stunned. She was whining about her father being to protective and her mother too careful, when this man next to her lost his mother and his father never took the trouble to talk to him. A slight nervous feeling ran trough her body as she though about how spoiled and lucky she actually was. And right now she just wanted to feel the warm embrace from her parents. She desperately shove the thought away for now and looked at the people around them. And after a few meters of walking her face light up. Well this must be it. My sister and I always go there when we sneak out off.. he breath stopped and she became quiet. She couldn't tell him. Not just yet. In fact she waved away the words and went on. When we want to have a drink and have a night away from home. for a moment she stopped talking and moved herself to go stand in front of him turning her blue gaze up. Shall we go then? she continued with a smile around her lips. She twisted around and lifted the front part of her dress and made her way up the stairs. i moved earth and water for you |
