Her eyes were looking around cautiously. Aella just exited Archeon and was making her way to Sundarin. She only had her waist bag around her waist. Her long, brown coat covering it along with the half of her face. She wasn't really someone who would bring a lot of weapons like some people did. She only had her pocket knife at the moment. She thought that her fighting skills and her quick-witted ways would be enough to avoid any serious problems. Plus, she wasn't exactly looking for any trouble at the moment. She was just heading to Sundarin for a change. To see how the place was and how it dealt with any problems, if there were any. That way she could know her ways. For if she wanted to steal something there. She could know the people there, and perhaps count how many guards there were. A lot less, she thought. The king and queen were in Archeon, unfortunately. Sundarin was just some old city, she hasn't really heard of how the people there were. But she assumed that they could be a lot nicer than in Archeon.

She could already see the yellow colors of the city. Despite all the white snow nearly blinding her view. She could clearly see where she was headed to. Which was good. Because if she was lost that would mean she was vulnerable and easy. And she didn't want to give someone the wrong idea.

Birvald always carries all his possessions. That is, until he get’s the chance to store them somewhere. His most striking possession, however, would have to be Glötter. The Greatsword he always carries with him. A Monster Hunter can’t be without his or her weapon. That’s common sense. Especially in a place like Valyria. Because here, not only monsters attack people. Almost any animal would too. But he wasn’t scared. He basically is an animal himself. Which is probably why he’s so hairy. And so primal. But don’t worry, he’s actually a really sweet guy. He means well.

He looked down and stopped walking. He knew exactly what he was walking on. Snow, on top of sand. But still.. it felt weird. He crouched as he put his hand on the ground. “The ground is sad.” He thought. What he meant, of course, was the fact that this land is not kind to it’s faunal and floral inhabitants. A frown fell over his face. “No. Stand up.” He whispered. And so he did. That’s when he saw someone walking in the distance. Immediately, he felt the need to walk up to this person. It seemed like she was headed for the same place as he was. “Greetings stranger!” He shouted, as his words faded into the actual sound of a roaring bear. He couldn’t help himself. He wasn’t even trying to be intimidating. Hopefully, he wasn’t.

Despite her easy ability to be aware of her surroundings -thanks to her paranoid behaviour-, the young female didn't notice the presence of someone else until she heard someone shout as a form of greeting. “Greetings stranger!” Aella turned around to see where the voice came from. She was about to respond with a swearword when the loud roar of -what it seemd like- a bear followed after. The woman stood still for a while as she slowly moved her hand to the pocket where her pocket knife was. Though without looking supiscious, of course. What the hell was this man doing and why was he acting like he knew her for years?

"Uhm, hi." Was her short response. Obviously not in the loud tone he used to greet her instead. She hoped she would get to Sundarin soon. She wasn't a huge fan of company, to say the least. She pulled her hand back from her pocket. But her senses were definitely on hyperfocus now. She was known for her cold personality. And especially when she never had seen this person. Though she kept looking forwards, avoiding eye contact and making her way to the city again. Anything to avoid any conversation with this stranger.

She responded. “We are friends now.” He thought. Which is why he walked towards her. It’s literally second nature to Birvald to walk alongside other people. Nomadic tribes tend to walk a lot. And walking alone can be very dangerous. So why was Birvald traveling alone? He had to. However, he did not understand why the woman kept walking. Wouldn’t it have been easier to wait for him a little? At least until he was close enough? Well, no use in wondering right now. He decided to walk a little faster, so he could catch up with the woman. Is she from around here? “Birvald.” He said swiftly and not at all elegantly. He could use some training in the art of communication. Which is one of the reasons he kept looking forward, while walking. And that.. was the moment he got the sneaking suspicion that the woman he was walking with, had to be from Valyria. Her aura, to him, felt almost as sad as the land itself. Of course, ‘sad’ in his head could mean anything. For now, the only thing he had to think about was their arrival in Sundarin. There was no need to make thing unnecessarily complicated.

Apparently the stranger wasn’t ready to get the message yet. Still following her as if they were each other’s companions. Which they were not. And she had no idea where this guy came from or what his name was or what he wanted from her. She’d be pretty screwed if he worked for Valyria’s guards, or if he knew about her daily activities.
Though the only thing coming from the man’s mouth was, “Birvald.” Which made her slightly confused. Was that his name? Another language? The woman looked back at the stranger with the same skeptical glance she always had. “Okay?” She said slowly. Not really sure what to respond to that.

Until after another couple of minutes of awkward silence. And Aella wasn’t someone who could stand the presence of a person for so long without even knowing what they wanted from her. So she just turned to look at the man, who was still following her, unbelievable and let out a sigh. It wasn’t a very exaggerating one, but it already told enough that she was tired and not up for this shit.

“Excuse me, but,” she started. Pausing for a couple of seconds before continuing. Her brown eyes now taking the time to try and recognize his face. He didn’t exactly look evil or threatening. But neither did she and she had a pocket knife with her. “What do you want?”

She introduced herself as ‘Okay’. A strange name indeed. But he appreciated how easy it is to remember a name like that. He let out a soft content growl. But he kept looking straight ahead. Not picking up on the social cue Okay let out in the form of a sigh. Until, that is, when she started talking. He looked at her, while she paused. And then.. she asked a question. What does he want? That.. was actually a hard question. He frowned, as he thought. “I want to help those who can’t help themselves.” He said eventually. This, of course, was not what the lady meant. But he didn’t know that. He then scratched his beard. “You?” He asked. They are friends. Friends have conversations. That’s what Sniffred told him anyway. Sniffred is very good at talking. Way better than he is. He wondered how his friend was doing nowadays. Hopefully, he was doing alright. Het felt as though he could really use a friend like Sniffred nowadays. He completed Birvald in a weird way. Not the simple brain and brawn combination. It felt like a little more than that. Oh.. wait.. now he remembers. He was waiting for Okay’s answer.

When the stranger -who introduced himself as Birvald, apparently- still didn’t seem to leave her alone yet. Maybe he was heading to the same place, or he genuinely thought they could be friends. Aella wasn’t really the friendly type. So she had no idea why he had to waste his time like this. If he ever took any step closer to her- or even thought about touching her he would definitely regret that decision as well. It was already clear she thought that he was a creep. An unknown man suddenly wanting a good conversation with her? That was more than her own friends asked from her. Though she doubted that she actually had any friends. She did have acquaintances. Because most of the people around here seemed too fake to actually be considered as a friend. She couldn’t even trust herself.

When Aella turned to look at him and asked him one of the simplest questions. He gave her a quite thoughtful answer. “I want to help those who can’t help themselves.” Yeah, that was great. Someone with determination, who finally knows what to do with themselves. But it wasn’t exactly the answer she was looking for. At least it was easy to prove to her that he wasn’t as stupid as she thought he was.
All she did was nod, just to make sure that he knew she heard him, and that she was listening as she continued walking her way to Sundarin. She only didn’t notice that he expected an answer back with the following question. Just a small and simple, “You?” Aella frowned lightly at that. What did he mean with that? She only asked him what he wanted from her. But she didn’t really want something from him. She just wanted to be left alone. Though he would probably get that wrong as well.

“I just want to go my own way. Learn from myself and only take criticism from myself. That ‘helping others’ isn’t really my dreamjob, people are usually ungrateful for what you’re doing. But yeah, you do you.” Her voice had a different tone. It was as if she forced herself to sound nicer than she actually was. But yeah, he didn’t really look like he could read minds. So she just had to persevere with this situation and keep herself off the urge to kill him.

He was confused. To say the least. Her answer was way too long. The first part he understood. Something about walking alone. It wasn’t clear to him, but it was at least somewhat understandable. Then she started talking about criticism. Following that she started talking about her job and something about people. Finally she said he had to do himself. He had.. to Birvald? How do you even Birvald? He frowned and looked at her. “How do I do Birvald?” He asked honestly. When in doubt, ask. The only thing wrong with that plan is that he always assumes that people tell him the truth. ‘Why would you lie? That makes people not know the truth’ comes to mind. Yes.. he is a simple man. Anyway, he was hoping her answer would clear some stuff up. Because he was still confused about a lot she had said. It felt like all of that came out of nowhere. But, y’know, to him everything felt like it came out of nowhere. Except the things he knows about. Like how they were getting quite close to Sundarin, right about now. He didn’t really like the look of it. Never had. It did not have that down to earth feeling he liked so much.
