Khepri was born in a land far away from Fallen Skies; a place called Gragos, after the man who found and made this place his home. Khepri was born to two very wealthy parents, who owned a large piece of land and a house many can only dream of. The girl grew up without worry or unhappiness, everything she wanted, was given to her and she was raised by two loving parents and many maidens working under her mom and dad. She studied in arts and writing, as well as alchemy, learning from the many books her parents brought home from the many travels they went on.

But as the girl turned 20, her life took an ugly turn. Her parents married her to a man she did not love, a man that was not kind to her. As she married him, she lost her old life as well as a true home she could feel safe at. Eventually, after two years of unhappiness, the woman decided to put faith in a man who offered to sneak her away. Desperate to get away and naive, she trusted him completely. But he was not a man to be trusted and she learned that when it was already too late; they had already been on far away from the harbor of the capitol of Gragos, when she discovered his intentions. He had taken her with him to sell her to a slavehandler far away.

And that's exactly the story about how Khepri got to Fallen Skies. The man had plans of selling her to a slavehandler in Valyria, thinking he would be able to fetch quite the price for the young lady. The travel to Fallen Skies was an unpleasant one, but she knew one thing: she wasn't going to go easy on her captors and just let them give her away to someone. Not again.
