THERE IS A BARRIER
and i dont know how to begin breaking it down
All day the young vampire had been wandering through Mother’s Heart. His conversation with Orion had left an impression on him. A positive one, for sure. He liked the boy and his way of thinking. At least he wasn’t as distant as the other people in this village. He knew Lexa was probably still busy with Commander-related business. He honestly hoped she was taking it easy, as she had promised, though deep down he knew better. As long as they were here in the Heart, people relied on her to fulfil her duty as Commander. They expected her to be strong, so she would comply, putting her duties before her health. Which was incredibly stupid, but he also knew there was no point in trying to convince her to rest. She would hear his opinion, but not act on it, as a Commander was supposed to do.
So now he was standing here, leaning on the fence that separated the small herd of horses from the villagers. His blue eyes were focussed on one horse in particular. Said horse had been walking over to him a couple of times, but each time he had turned around again. As if he was challenging him. When he came around again, Mort swiftly jumped over the fence and walked over to animal. ”Hi Scourge”, He greeted him, holding out his hand to let the beast take in his scent. The horse shook his manes and snorted. ”What, don’t remember me? Hmm? I mean our meeting was quite memorable, at least for me it was”, He joked. Right. Here he was, talking to a horse. Could it get much worse? Probably not.
