Guardians of Vanaheim

Hiya! I’m looking for the five guardians of Vanaheim. They’ve ruled as Command under the Mother centuries ago and are the protectors of the lands, living a quiet life in the mountains unless something catches their attention.

The ones accepted into this role, will receive a more detailed history of Vanaheim, revealing truths others can only learn through threads. I am not asking for a certain amount of posts a month, but it is asked to keep them active. If you can no longer do that, I’d like to put the character back up for adoption. They can not be replaced, after all.

“What’s up with her?” you ask, looking at the one he called Minerva. She seemed to be talking to herself, whispering words too quickly to understand. Every now and then she’d look over her shoulder, as if something was there. Something you can’t see. ‘She speaks to her demons,’ he tells you. ‘Literal demons,’ he explains when he sees the frown on your face. “She speaks to demons?” you ask skeptically. ‘If you’re brave enough to ask her, please do. I, for one, am not,’ he laughs. You nod. Clear. You see how she looks at you, her blue eyes filled with an emotion you can’t quite place.

Her eyes seem to tell a whole different story as her gaze falls upon you. ‘That’s Diana,’ he tells you, ‘the commander of nature.’ You slowly raise a brow. Nature has no command, right? ‘She’s believed to be the best huntress in the world,’ he smiled. You think it must be exaggerated. She has a certain calmth over her. ‘Her presence seems to calm everyone,’ he tells you, sighing a breath of relief, almost. You can feel it. Where the Warrior made you nervous, this woman comforts you with just her eyes.

‘That’s Apollo,’ he speaks, even before you ask. Apollo has a… vibe around him. Kindness, yet… there’s this secretive aura around him. Like he’d be kind until you ask the wrong question, until you speak the wrong word. ‘The Commander of Health,’ he goes on. ‘He goes around and blesses us all with health,’ he smiles. You look at your wrist. So they drain your blood and he heals you up when needed? Sounds… perfect. “He seems nice,” you decide to say, not really knowing what it is about this one. ‘Yeah… Just keep on his good side.’ You throw him a quick glare, but look back at Apollo quickly enough.

For a second you look back at Minerva, but quickly enough your gaze moves to the one he called Juno. He seems to catch it and smiles. ‘That’s Juno,’ he says. You can hear a certain warmth in his voice when he speaks her name. ‘She’s the Commander of Safety, though we often just call her our Guardian,’ he tells you. Where Diana had a certain calmth over her, this woman is… charm itself. It’s not just pure beauty, it’s like an aura that catches your eye and once you’re in, there’s no way of getting out. A voice in your head tells you to get away while you can, but her light still lures you in.

‘And last is Mercury,’ his voice sounds, pulling your gaze away from Juno. Your eye falls upon an interesting looking man. As he looks at you, you notice his one white eye. He seems to look straight into your soul as a smile creeps onto his face. ‘He’s the Commander of Peace,’ you get told. You raise a brow. Truly? ‘He’s our official contact with the outside world, so your best bet if you have anything you want off your mind,’ he comments. You nod slowly. Mercury, huh? “So, if I want to know about their history…” you softly note to yourself. He laughs. ‘Yes, but beware,’ he warns you, ‘he’s called the trickster for a reason. He’ll tell you two truths and a lie, expecting you to find out what’s what.’ A trickster? He doesn’t seem too intimidating… Maybe it’s worth a shot.
