Pre-forum history
Rey does not remember who her parents were, where she was born, or why they left her in the Valyrian desert as a slave to a rich trading family. Every day of her life she has waited for those parents to return to her, to come and pick her up. Although her ‘owners’ do not let her starve, her life has never been easy. Rey has had to work for her food and water from day one. From early on she was tasked with taking care of the livestock and other animals that lived at the small village in the middle of the Valyrian deserts. This included cleaning stables, feeding the animals, getting their water, and protecting them from harm by predators or people. All the work has made the girl into a strong young woman, although she bears quite a few scars mentally. Her official housing has always been inside the stables, however, she made a little hut for herself on the edge of the family’s owned land, where she often retreats to if possible.
