Naveena can be described as.. well.. unpredictable. She is just like the ocean. At one moment she is quiet and peaceful and only a few seconds later she can be wild and fierce. She would fight for everything she believes in and does so with such a passion that some people tend to back off. No, you would not want her as your enemy, as she can be as destructive as the ocean during a very wild storm.

But there is yet another thing about Naveena that you should not underestimate. She loves with all her heart and hurting the ones she loves, will turn her into a very revengeful and merciless person.

Even though her past has definitely scarred her in many of ways, she is still the woman she used to be. She can smile, she can be happy and she can be wonderful company; but as soon as people start to talk about her dead fiance or her father, she pulls her walls up to protect herself and her scarred heart.

Naveena is definitely a beautiful, young lady. She is not tall, but not small either, with her 1.69m of length. Her eyes can be described as her most well-known feature, as they are of such a light shade of blue and green mixed together, that people almost tend to drown in them as if they were deep pools of water. Her darkbrown hair is wavy and medium-long of length. She mostly wears them loose when being off duty, but when she's training or working, she usually wears them tied up to keep them out of her face.

Thanks to all the training she has had in her childhood, and still has to this very day, she has quite the athetlic built, even though she still maintained her feminine features.

Naveena was born as the first and only daughter of Zelroth and Savina Gryphon. When she was born, she already had two older brothers who were there to protect her if needed and a younger brother joined their family about seven years later. But Naveena rarely needed her brother's protection; she could easily take care of herself and she was not the typical girl who liked to gossip about the new handsome boy who came to live in I'llyria or talk about beautiful dresses and things like that. No, she had more male friends than female friends and she definitely was able to play just as rough and wild as the boys she grew up with. Naveena showed signs of her water magic from the day she was born. No, it's not that she made the water move or controlled it, but it were tiny signs her parents got from the baby and the child, that made them know she had it in her to control water one day. It was when she touched her parents with her tiny little fingers, that they felt little sparks of cold ignite through their body, and it was in the way she always felt comfortable around water, that it didn't come as a surprise that she discovered her waterbending abilities when she was six.

It was however at the age of twelve that she fully started training them. She became a cadet in the Illyrian Legion and due to being raised with a lot of rules and disciplination, she was very honoured to be in the legion and to train and took this very serious. She trained every day and became stronger and stronger, controlling her element a lot better than before, learning how to not let her magic be influenced by her emotions - which was a great accomplishment, as Naveena's emotions had always been very.. strong.

When she was fifteen, she met a boy and her life somehow took a sharp turn. She had never felt these kind of emotions she had felt for him, she had never known she was able to feel like this, even. The thing was.. there was quite an age difference between the two and she had only been sixteen when they started getting serious together. The man's name was Alexander Dragović and he came from Vanaheim, eventually moving to I'llyria to become a member of the Illyrian Legion. He was a fire bender and thus the opposite of Naveena, but boy, were they a match made in hell heaven. But her father never seemed to approve. The man had never been worthy of being with his daughter from the first time he heard of their growing relationship. He tried to keep Naveena away from him, but like magnets they were drawn to eachother.

Two years later and Alexander bent down to one knee and asked Naveena to marry her. She was now eighteen years old and he could not wait any longer to marry this beautiful lady he wanted to grow old with. Naveena said yes, of course she would say yes. She loved him from the depths of her heart. But her father.. he still didn't approve. And he said no. No to them, no to their marriage. But Naveena's love was strong, stronger than the bonds she had with her family. She started making plans to leave I'llyria behind and start a new life, as long as she could spend it with him.

The words of the engagement of the couple started spreading through Fallen Skies. The only daughter of Zelroth Gryphon would soon get married, against her own father's wishes. The plans to just pack their bags and leave I'llyria were almost done, they had found a place they could go to, they had everything planned out.. until another boy of the Illyrian Legion hit Alexander fataly during a training. Naveena had just been on her way to meet up with her fiancé, when the man was pierced by a sword. A scream escaped from her mouth, as she quickly made her way towards him. But she was too late. The people she had to push away to get to him, made her too slow to get to him. He had already died when she reached him. Ripped away from her life. Just when they were about to head for a future together.. because they would have left that  very night. If only she had left earlier.. if only..

Anger floated through her body as she rose to her feet again, her fierce eyes fell on the man who had been training with his husband. Words flew out of her mouth, she cursed at him, screamed at him. Called him many of things. She can still remember the way her body had trembled of anger, the way she had grabbed a sword so quickly and if someone had not stopped her at that point, she would have slaughtered the man. But someone's strong grip formed around her waist, slamming the sword out of her hands so quick she could not fight back. And before she knew it, she was being dragged back inside the castle, screaming and kicking. Keaton had dragged her away from the fields, before she could do anything she would regret - but till this day she would have been sure, that hurting the man who killed his Alexander, would not make her feel guilty.

Of course, the girl did not believe someone would hate her fiance so much that he had wanted to kill Alexander. It must have been someone else and she could only think about one person who did not approve of them. One.. single.. person. There was no proof of him being any part of this, no proof at all, but Naveena needed someone to blame. Someone and that person became her father. She was sure of the fact that he had played a part in all this. He had never wanted her to marry Alexander in the first place. A big argument between the two was inevitable; and at the end she stormed off, with the last words to her father being 'You're dead to me'. And thus she never spoke to her father again and started focusing on her training and more. She was already a warrior by that time, but due to her effort and the work she did, she was promoted to master eventually when she turned 20 years. It was either that, or the fact that her father tried to make it up to her, she never knew.

Her father got sick and even though her family tried to persuade her to talk to him, she never really went. Her anger and hatred against her father had kept her from going to him, she wasn't even aware of how sick he was even. How close he was getting to the end of his life; her hatred had made her blind of this. Eventually someone, somehow persuaded her to go see him and talk to him, but as she walked into his bedroom, she had already been too late. He had passed away.
