PERSONALITY
Etain would be considered a typical northener: harsh and proud. She's crass, witty and saracastic and doesn't have the most serious outlook on life. Joking around is something she's likely to do, and if provoked, she will definitely bite back. She considers herself incredibly laid-back, although others would call her lazy instead. At times, she can be rude, although it usually comes from a playful place. She values friends and family, preferring to keep them close to her at all times. She would do anything in her power to protect them, even if it's morally questionable. Etain has no problems with a little manipulation, no matter friend or foe. From time to time, she can be serious, especially when she feels threatened or when there happens to be a lot at stake. When feeling unsafe or insecure, she might overcompensate by using verbal or physical violence. Usually during conflict, she manages to remain calm and get herself out in time. Diplomacy, however, is not one of her strongest suits and you'll usually find her solving her problems in other ways.

THE PAST
Etain was raised by her mother alone, being abandoned by her father before birth. Due to this, she carries no surname. Her mother was a huntress from Skorravir and a very traditional woman. She raised Etain in the ways of the north, teaching her how to hunt and introducing her to the belief of Odinism. At a young age, Etain proved to be a promising tracker and hunter. She went out hunting frequently, at first with her mother and later on with her best friend, Aeron, and childhood sweetheart, Galan.

It didn't take long for Etain to develop feelings for Galan, and lucky for her, these feelings were reciprocated. They formed a couple and when they both came of age, they got married. They made their everyday living as hunters and fought in Falkreath's many battles when called upon. Their relationship was a stable and supportive one for many years, until it wasn't. One day, Galan simply disappeared and Etain never heard from him again. Etain was heartbroken and furious, but Aeron was there to comfort her. After a while, the two got together as a couple, although it didn't last long. In the following battle, Etain got wounded and Aeron perished. Eventually, Etain healed from her physical wounds, but Aeron's death had made her angry and bitter. Now she lives alone, waiting for her opportunity to knock on Walhalla's doors.
