One taste isn't the other [Kaz] Empty One taste isn't the other [Kaz]

Why so serious?
I'm not the monster, I'm just ahead of the curve
As one of the eldest vampires walking around you learned to restrain yourself in times of need. But that didn’t said it was easy, or just completely frustrating. Avanti could starve himself to a point it could kill himself, he didn’t has a problem in doing so but it worked on his nerves. Being locked up between the four walls of that castle he was on the verge on wanting to rip something small apart, a cat, a baby, something that just gave him enough satisfaction to get through the next week. With Thriumph in a position of becoming an immortal word couldn’t get out of Avanti being around, what meant he had to stay most of the time in the castle and his teeth locked from any desirable smells walking around. He managed, but his temper and impatience greatly suffered under it. What made him feel like he was on edge, tempting to travel over the borders to kill somebody. But yet again, he was old enough to know that a little hunger wouldn’t kill him.

His head rested against the wall, hands stuck away in his pants as he looked down from the balcony over all those little houses. Keeping his schedule up he was more awake during the day for which he looked a lot paler. Dark circles around his hungry eyes give it away he was one of those immortal nightwalkers. But not just any of them. His lower jaw moved under his teeth, making an sharp noise before he pushed away from the wall and vanished in the little darkness this castle had to offer.

Last time he walked through D’Auvignon he was on his way to a king, now he practically ran away from it, welcome the temptations the city had to offer. You saw glimpse of him, walking between the houses in the shadow it contained, not that the sun would burn him alive, he just hated it as much as he hated those pathetic people around him sometimes. His eyes rested upon a man with a crate of the best whiskey, probably on his way to the caste. His body slim and long lurking from out of the shadows to the people walking fort and back through the streets. It was late in the afternoon, a lot of people were on there ways home and Avanti had no need in covering up the fact that taking such a bottle of whiskey was this easy. Not until a little girl tugged on his jacket. ‘Why did you steal that?’ She asked. ‘Because I simply can,’ he reacted cold, looking down to the little girl. ‘And if you are not careful, I’m gonna steal you at night.’ He warned her and the girl ran away with a cry. Avanti rolled his eyes, way to dramatically before he looked down to the bottle. Well … he had to keep something tasteful in his body right?

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
The plan was to leave by tomorrow morning, when the sun hadn't even risen yet. He was sick of these streets and the endless paranoia they brought with them. One could argue that Kaz did it to himself, knowing full well he was a fugitive here and not a sight anyone wanted to see. But, the coupleo f days he had stayed here there had been no sight of Agatha, nor did the guards seem to know who he was. He had scraped some money together, swindled a bit and disappeared in the shadows as much as he could. But it grew tiresome and in a way, boring. This wasn't the place for him for now, he had to move on. So, this night would be his last, so he could use a drink, maybe two. Though, in the back of his head he noticed how more often he started to turn towards drinking, knowing full well that if he continued like this, he would turn into an alcoholic and not the masterthief he was supposed to be.

Moving against the waves of people returning home from their work, Kaz narrowly let his eyes go over the crowd. Every movement was seen by him, every step was noticed. He was on edge, ready to run if he had to. Though he tried to notice everything around him, his mind tried to wander off and push him into a direction that wasn't known for him. Relaxing. When was the last time he had actually sat down and let his worries go? The fact that he couldn't properly remember probably said enough.
The young thief managed to get out of the crowd, walking towards a street that was a bit less crowded. A girl almost bumbed into him and for a moment Kaz thought it was Zanna, but he soon realised that this girl was younger. And crying. As she ran away he looked after her, before looking back at the ally, seeking the problem she was running from. The problem was probably the man standing there with a bottle of what appeared to be whiskey, in his hand. Kaz raised an eyebrow, moving a bit closer, his cane close to his side. ''That's an aweful lot of whiskey to drink on your own.'' He noticed as he stopped walking when they were a few meters apart. He didn't say anything about the girl, he understood. This man looked far from friendly. ''Care to share?'' Asking a complete stranger for a drink was probably not the most calculated thing you could do, especially not when this stranger didn't even look that human. But, who gave a shit, a drink was a drink.

The little girl ran of crying, like they all did. Avanti couldn’t remember if he ever shed a tear in his life, the 24 years before he became this. But it was already such a long time ago, a snippet of his life that he hardly held any love over. This little girl would probably remember this moment, she would lay in her bed later, not being able to sleep, afraid for the monster to come and steel her. The thoughts put a little smile on his face, just a little before it sunk back down in that distant cold expression. If he couldn’t ruin a life once a day he probably wouldn’t be … how did humans call it? Happy? He wouldn’t be happy. But even something as small as that didn’t sparked his amusement.

He opened the bottle, still looking into the street as he lifted it and drank, a liquid torturing his hungry body even more. But it taste, something he appreciated over the years of immortality, whisky. With his purple eyes still scouting the street for something more fun to spend his time in he almost … almost didn’t see the person beside him. He cared less to be honest. Invading personal space got punished with that, or at least it did in his head. It was when the boy spoke that one of his brows cocked up. His dark eyes scouted sideway, first meeting the eyes before his eyes scoured down, his gaze as bored and uninterested as earlier. When the young man asked if he was willing on sharing Avanti brought the bottle back up, his pale fingers tapping around the neck of the bottle before he forced an answer out. ‘Not because you are just a little boy not being able to hold your liquor that I’m to.’ He reacted, that dark look shortly back over the boy before he brought the bottle to his lips and drank again. ‘Besides,’ he nodded with his head into the street, to the man who was leading his horse and crate of bottles away. ‘if you are fast enough you can get your own.’ He followed. He was testing as much as he was challenging. His eyes darted back to the young man beside him. ‘You do this often, bother other people, not scared of the consequences?’ He asked with slightly squinted eyes. Avanti was in such a mood you didn’t want to test out so this could easily escalate for the worst. Or not, if he just choose his words very carefully. The boy at least didn't looked like he was covered in mommies worries, he looked like the guy who was used to this, asking totally dangerous strangers for drinks. It made him almost chuckle, as he shook his head slightly and looked back into the street.

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
This person was strange, so to say and as Kaz earlier hat noticed, probably not human. By the looks of the dark circles underneath the eyes of the other man, it was a miracle he was still standing here. Even Kaz didn't look that horrible on his bad days whre he only had about one hour of sleep and had to travel all day. It made him almost ask the question if this young man was actually still alive. Probably not. Kaz had had his fair share of meetings with vampires, and this one crossed probably every box. The fact that this one looked like it hadn't eaten in days, was new to him though.

Kaz shrugged, placing his cane in front of his feet so he could balance himself a bit better. ''I'm not really the running type.'' He retorted, looking sideways at the man. He didn't necessarily want the bottle to drink, he wasn't that desperate. But maybe something else could be arranged, knowning that it probably was an even worse idea than actually asking for a drink. ''Depends if one finds it bothering or not.'' He shrugged again, looking at the cart with the man who almost had disappeared around the corner now. Kaz turned towards the other, eyeing him for a moment before opening his mouth again. ''You on hungerstrike or something? Didn't even know your kind could do that.'' One could say this wasn't the smartest thing to say, but Kaz could work it out, one way or another. ''Or is there something else in the bottle and that's why you don't want to share?'' He raised an eyebrow, biting softly on the piercing in his lip, before letting go and letting the grip on his cane relax a bit. A soft sigh left his lips as he too, looked back into the street, wondering what he had gotten himself into. A fun and thrilling conversation for sure.

In the short gaze he throw aside he could make up a lot of things. Avanti had a keen eye for details and if you lives as long as he lived … you thought to know everybody, every type on the street, every imagine on the body. This young man had quite a lot of that, probably no parents in the picture, living in what they called gangs, just hanging around. It was a straight forward picture, nonetheless, he didn’t judge. For that he had to little interest in what roamed the street these days. Yet his eyes pulled from one body to the other, not for the faces but rather for the smells underneath. It was easy to keep control and yet so hard to ignore the smell.

His words were as flat as ever, a little edgy under the hunger and warning. And still the boy talked, placing his cane forward to lean on it better. Avanti looked down to it, frowning his eyes before he looked back up to the man. He couldn’t resist a dry short chuckle on those words, looking over to the man and his bottles of whisky. ‘What are you then, the drinking type?’ He asked as dryly as his chuckle earlier sounded. It was a rather funny sight, the vampire leaned against the wall in the little bit of shadow the street had, that tattooed guy with the cane aside him … what had those little heads looking at the both of them to say? If it bothered him, everything bothered him, his eyes could tell so his lips didn’t answer the question, bringing the bottle back up to drink. But then he said something that made Avanti his eyes stopped on no particular point before him. He pressed his tongue visibly against his teeth, suppressing the smile that wanted to sneak in on those rather direct words. ‘Something like that.’ He answered before he tore his eyes loose and looked aside. ‘Why do you think I need a full bottle of whisky for otherwise?’ He tilted his head, saying it like the boy was stupid to ask. ‘I should start praying,’ he started, pointing with his finger to the sky. ‘to your god, that I’m better in holding my hunger then the others of my kind.’ With the extra pressure on those two last words. A small dark smile came on his lips. He was better, Avanti could hold this out for quite some time, at least if nobody provoke him. He looked down to the bottle, shrugging on the words. ‘Maybe I did put something in there.’ He followed, giving the boy the bottle, squeezing his eyes a little together, challenging the guy to drink. He didn’t put anything in the bottle but that could the boy not know.

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
Vampires. They had been on this earth since Kaz was born and it wouldn't be until he was a bit older that he would have his first encounter with one. It hadn't been a pleasing one, but nothing had happened. All Kaz could remember of it was the grin the man had showed and those awefully long and sharp teeth. The next encounter would follow shortly, but it had just been a passing on the street. It wasn't until a few years later he had actually gotten bit. Wrong place at the wrong time, but as far as he knew he was still alive and human, so he hadn't thought much of it. The only remembrance of the meeting were the scar of the fangs that was left behind on his neck. Some could be found on his arm as well, but they were faint and only noticed if you were actively looking for them. Kaz wasn't proud of it, but in some way, it relieved him. Nobody needed to know anyway. He was one of keeping secrets and this was one of them.

''I can be. But then again, I can be any type, depends in what way you are looking at me.'' He turned his head to look at the man, uncaring and bored. ''The thief, the murderer, the lost cause, the drunkard, the lost boy, yadda yadda, you name it.'' He summed up with a flat tone, obviously not seeming to care about what he was saying.
Kaz didn't follow the finger, knowing full well what the vampire meant. ''You musn't be a vampire for long then. It should be obvious that that God doesn't exist. None of them do.'' Kaz retorted, still unimpressed with what this vampire was trying to do. If it was meant to scare him, he should try a little harder. Not even that mischievous smile could get to him. Kaz grabbed the bottle, looked at it once, back to the boy and without breaking eyecontact, took a big gulp. The drink burned down his throat, but it was soothing in a way. ''Guess we'll have to find out.'' The thief said without much concern, handing the bottle back. If this was to be his end, he at least died where he started. On the streets like a rat.

It wasn’t his dashing beauty that give his race away … Avanti looked pretty much like hell. Out in the sun, not eaten in days, he had looked worse but certainly had his better days to. Here he hoped everybody would recognize him because of his reputation. Even on the nights he was often a shadow, but he was always marked by that little bit of purple in his eyes, that was his tradingsmark, his stamp, just like the boy aside him had those stamps marked on his body, inked in his skin. It was just as recognizable.

When the boy started talking about how many types he could be Avanti just gazed into the streets, not paying attention and yet still listening. His nose run over all the smells and sweetnesses walking around while his eyes went for the weakness, the stories behind the souls. And his ears listening to the boy, he chuckled shortly, looking aside in one quick glare. ‘All of the above maybe.’ He suggested flat. ‘Or is it depending on your mood.’ He muttered, squeezing his eyes to a young woman running through the streets that went out of town straight to the woods. He clenched his teeth, holding himself from not going after her. He pointed his attention back to the young man beside him, with lack on anything else he had to do. ‘If there is a devil, then there is a god.’ He pointed from the ground to the sky. ‘Figure of speaking.’ He pushed away from the wall. He was named to be a big ass annoying devil, not that you noticed much now but he had his ways. His eyes still resting on the street, offering that boy his bottle. When he saw the bottle go up his eyes drifted aside, looking to how the boy swallowed a few times good. ‘Impressive.’ He reacted, like it had poison in it or anything. He took the bottle back, his eyes resting on the boy his neck, maybe to long, maybe not before he tore his eyes loosed and brought the bottle back to his lips, drinking intensely. But the boy stayed and Avanti looked back aside. ‘I shared, so don’t you have anywhere else to go be a type of person, or do I need to force you out?’ The psychopathic smile flowered on his face, for just a sec before the annoyance took it all back over. Was there nothing to this miserable town worth his time these days?

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
He wasn't sure where this conversation was heading, but so far he was still alive so it wasn't the worst one he had had. Though, of course, the restlessness stayed and showed it's face when something behind them fell on the ground, a glass bottle, a can, whatever it was, it woke Kaz up from whatever thought he had been in and made him anxiously look over his shoulder. He wasn't really out in the open here, but being on your guard never killed anyone. Figuratively speaking.
''I don't really give a fuck to be honest. Call it what you want.'' Kaz retorted, his eyes looking at the others, still feeling uneasy watching them. But he was no coward and he had no fear, at least he tried to have no fear, and looking into someones else didn't exactly open the gates to hell or something.

He let his eyes slide down to the ground, following the finger of the other man, before shrugging. ''Whatever it is that decides our fate, it did a poor job deciding mine.'' There was no God in his life, and especially not one who would control him. He was his own and he did whatever the fuck he wanted to do.
Kaz felt the stare and he shifted his gaze towards the man, tempted to raise an eyebrow, but instead he said nothing, looking back at the street again, listening to the others oh so nice words. ''Didn't know you owned this street. My apologies.'' He said sarcastically, making a swift and ironic bow as if this man before him was the king. ''But by the way you looked at my neck, I'm guessing you want to drink more than whats in the bottle.'' He confronted the other, only now realizing he didn't even know his name. Did it matter? Kaz had met countless strangers on the street and none of them were good. So why should this one stick out?

Avanti felt the sudden change, it wasn’t much, tensing of some muscles a short skip in heartbeat and his eyes went sideways to the boy before they crawled over to the man who had fallen on the ground. His purple eyes slowly went back to the boy beside him, a certain anxiousness showing upon his face. ‘What is it?’ He asked, looking at the unease the young man showed. ‘A price on your head or just not so much into crowds?’ It was a very neutral question. It was quite spectacular that Avanti himself was standing here, in the shadow of a day rather than the light of a night. He hated crowds just as much but he was still standing here, because he literary .. as the boy just said, didn’t give a fuck.

As the boy noticed that his faith was poorly decided Avanti chuckled, handing him the bottle back but not without a little resistance. ‘Then maybe you took the wrong turn.’ He let go of the bottle, eyes scouring back over the boy while his mind took a whole other way on those words. What was it that the boy did? To what did he had access? All of the sudden his mood changed a little, pushing away from the wall his hand went in the pocket of his pants, his other hand scratching through his hair while he ignored the intensive smell of a woman passing by. He didn’t wanted to know where she came from. The annoyance stayed for a bit on his face as he kind of not so friendly asked the boy to leave, but he didn’t offcourse. ‘Well, if I had the hands for it I probably would have build one of those streets back in the day but I’m just not,’ he felt silent, giving the person beside him a thoughtful look. ‘that type.’ A lot was said by that as he drank from the bottle again, squeezing his eyes on it’s define taste. Apparently that boy had seen his look because the words stated Avanti’s desire. His eyes turned stone cold within seconds as he looked aside with a pale expression full of warnings. ‘Offering?’ He asked, his fingers tensing around the bottle his neck. ‘And be careful with your next words, I may or may not take the quite literally.’ He followed still with that sharpe voice of him as he slowly turned all his attention and body to the boy.

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
The conversation kept going, neither of them seemed to have plans to leave and neither of them seemed to care. Maybe the other man did since he did ask for Kaz to leave, but Kaz didn't have what he wanted to have yet. And he knew he was going into dangerous territory and that his question was as stupid as it could be. But wasn't there a phrase that said there couldn't be any stupid questions? Well, Kaz was about to challenge that.

His eyes met those of the man. ''Bit of both. Can't say I'm very welcome here.'' He answered without much concern, not letting him get on his nerves. Kaz watched over his shoulder one more time to the place where the man had just been but who now had vanished. It didn't exactly give him a restful feeling either. No, it only made him more anxious. When he grabbed the bottle he felt how the other one held it back. Kaz looked him directly in the eye, before he finally had the whiskey in his hands and drank a few gulps. ''My life is a series of wrong turns. But you grow used to it.'' Kaz retorted, not trying to sound edgy, though he was aware of how it might come over.
A faint smile tugged his lips when the other man talked about not being a certain type. Oh, how the circle came full. He decided not to go into it, knowing that they probably could talk about it for hours, if they wanted, and Kaz wasn't really planning on staying that long. The alcohol, how faint, rushed through his body. He could feel it in the tops of his fingers, but it would probably stay at that.

The threat did nothing to him. Kaz calmly stared at the stranger, his cane still in front of him, and smirked a little. ''Would I ask for a drink from a very hungry vampire in the darkness of an ally all alone, if I was not offering?'' He said with the same, faint smirk on his face. ''Everyone needs to relax in a while.'' Though this might not be the best way to do that, Kaz never learned it the other way. And though it was only temporary, the need for more wasn't.

Why so serious?
I'm not the monster, I'm just ahead of the curve
Avanti walked around for already a long time to notice people throwing nervous looks or to feel tensed bodies when they were around. The boy either had something to hide of was wanted … both things Avanti loved working with. A good criminal looked always over his shoulder, unless you didn’t care, like Avanti did. He stood here to, brought daylight, slightly weakened by that and his lack of food and he simple didn’t care, he knew he still was good enough to get away if it was needed. But that boy aside him wasn’t an immortal, for that he was more careful, now Avanti wanted to know.

‘Hmmm.’ Avanti replied on his explanation, so he was that type, the thief, the criminal, the not being welcome kind of guy. ‘Not being welcome is the first step to becoming popular, people will start to recognize your face,’ he pointed shortly to the boy his face before a tempting dark look slide over his eyes. ‘not in the good way but still, having a reputation is better than having none.’ Taking advice from Avanti wasn’t good, not that he gave any, he just loved to push people further into the darkness. He himself had rather the reputation himself, so he would know how much fun it was to hide in the dark corners, look over your shoulder and still win a game. When he handed the bottle he chuckled softly, without any emotions, it sounded rather hollow. ‘There is not such thing as wrong turns, look at me, I never had a bad life and still I ended out bad.’ It wasn’t his normal way of talking. Avanti normally wouldn’t be so free in replying in words, he wouldn’t even be standing here longer than necessary. But given he was bored out of his mind and hungry on top of that he took every conversation as it came.

But then the subject became more dangerous. It became always dangerous if it got onto a subject that contained blood and feeding. His eyes grew empty, his lips pushed down to a stiff line as he turned his body to the boy. ‘You sure know what you are getting in?’ His pale long fingers grabbed the bottle, pulling it right out of the boy his hand. ‘Because there is no turning back, I can snap you,’ he looked down over that long slim body. ‘easily.’ He whispered on the looks. ‘Guess this isn’t your first time?’ Aside the fact Avanti could starve himself for weeks and still fight properly he had setted his mind on this and started to feel the honger crawl all the way through his body, looking for an output.

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
The other didn't seem to mind to talk to a felon, even when Kaz made it clear he wasn't the nicest of types. Now it was quite obvious that the man next to him wasn't exactly the nicest of types either. In fact, the man was probably worse than Kaz. And Kaz didn't want to sound jealous, but maybe he was. A little bit. The life of a vampire seemed so perfect that he had been on the edge a coupple of times before to ask one of the creatures to turn him. Kaz had heard about the rumours, how the transformation was horrible but when you were reborn, the ails of your past were behind you. What if it was the same for his leg?

They seemed to agree on the reputation part but Kaz stayed silent, not wanting to get too much into this. Who even knew who this guy was. It could be a spy for all he knew. And Kaz was enjoying the freelife, so no thank you mr. spy. Kaz narrowed his eyes a little, adjusted his position to put more weight on his good leg so his other could rest for a bit, before he spoke. ''Define bad.'' Was all he said. Sure, Kaz hadn't had a bad childhood and he wouldn't have had a bad growing up phase either, but whatever was deciding over their fates, had disagreed. His life had been a living hell and he tried to make the most of it.

''I don't fear you, no matter how edgy you are trying to be.'' Kaz retorted calmy, his eyes meeting the others. Sure, his heartbeat got a little more intense, but that was because of the excitement, not because of the way this man was acting. They appeared to be of the same age, but who knew how old this guy was. ''Are you trying to stall time or are you truly interested in what I do in my life?'' His voice was a bit more firm now, colder. ''Because neither seem plausible to me.'' If the vamp wasn't hungry, he could just walk away and find another one, that problem wouldn't be so big.

Why so serious?
I'm not the monster, I'm just ahead of the curve
Being a vampire came with a long list of memories, memories Avanti surprisingly enough always kept remembering. From the first breath of immortal air to his first and last kill. He couldn’t keep count of the death, the people he slaughtered but a name, a face, it was all so easily. You got used to it, to the power, it was a toxic, something that kept him sharp of mind but not less evil. Somebody as him, that handled the way he did never had enough. It wasn’t that he wanted more, or wanted to get higher, it was just the fun in a game. People could be the same, generation after generation, but in the end there were thousand possible ways in how he could handle, so was this.

It came to Avanti’s attention that the boy wasn’t the first to give things away about himself. And with just a look aside to him he understood, it was the same reason Avanti did it. He would never lay out his future or his plans before a total stranger, yet he didn’t hide his reputation or meanings. For him there wasn’t a path to walk on, or a destiny, there was only the events leading from one to another. Avanti never had a bad life when he was small, being separated from his twin brother didn’t crack him, it made him harder. Define bad … Avanti couldn’t resist the little wicked in his smile as he glanced over to the boy. ‘I guess you have a life of stealing and beating your way out of things. Being lied to, being alone,’ his voice fade as he looked aside to him. ‘bad things happens to all of us, there is no standard under the word, their is only,’ he felt silent, pointing his finger over, almost touching him on his chest. ‘how you rise to the occasion.’ He whispered, like it was a big secret or anything before turning his eyes back into the street.

‘I’m hardly doing my best.’ Avanti chuckled on the boy his words, giving him an almost playful grin before bringing the bottle back up to take two big sips. But as soon as the boy went on something seem to snap within the immortal. He lowered the bottle again, not looking before it took him little more than a second, the boy pressed between the wall and those stone cold purple eyes of Avanti. Both his hands slammed against the wall aside his head. ‘There is nothing you can do,’ he started dangerously low. ‘I can drain you right here, right now and you would die in a blink of an eye.’ He hissed, eyes lowering to his neck. ‘I think you can feel yourself in the picture for which you want something so badly really nobody can stop you.’ He looked back up, eyes grewing darker under his upcoming hunger, his lips softly partened, pressing his tongue against the corner of his teeth. ‘What would stop me from not killing you hmmm?’ It was such an innocent question.

Who needs enemies when you've got yourself
This little game they were playing wasn't new to him, but it was different in some way. Most people would either have given in already or punched him in the face. This man did neither. They were both fighting to stay on top yet only one could be crowned king. Impressing one another was hard when you didn't want to be impressed and they both seemed to understand that.

The words of the other man hit home, but Kaz was used to them. His armor might be bend and broken at places, but it fit him and was working just fine. His eyes were cold and distant, staring right into the others. ''Words of wisdom.'' He spoke back, seemingly not impressed but the hint of grattitude in his eyes betrayed him. Kaz silently exhaled deeply, getting the feeling he was wasting time around here. If he didn't get what he want he would just grab the bottle and call it a day. Simple as that.

The young thief shrugged, placing his cane in front of him. He wouldn't dare think of this man getting a taste of him and then wish him a good day like nothing happened. No, everything came with a price and he knew it. It was just the problem what the other expected of him. ''What do you want? I take it you aren't really interested in gold.'' Kaz started, tilting his head a little, trying to get a hold of the vampire. ''So what is it you want?'' He spoke the words carefully, softer, calculated. Both his hands were placed on the cane while he leaned a bit forward, somewhat intrigued by this stranger, somewhat annoyed that it took this long to get his fix.

Words of wisdom … Avanti couldn’t hold back the chuckle that was brewing in his chest as a reaction to those words. He dearly hoped that was a sarcastic thing because Avanti was al but wisdom. Everything Avanti did came with a purpose, he wasn’t advising this boy … if you could even call it advising, if he knew there was something to gain from it. He sense of detail had gave him already a lot on the boy. He wasn’t scared and helpless, he wasn’t just a victim or slave, he was stronger than that. He has, potential. And potential was a very dangerous thing to have around an immortal like Avanti, who wanted connections and followers everywhere around the world. He could imagine the boy had his ways to. Yet there was some gratitude and Avanti had a hard thing to contain his eyes from rolling.

His fall out, he was surprised it took him so long to get triggered by something. Avanti usealy was a master in self containment, yet here he stood, locking the boy between his arms. It was more because he knew the boy wanted it that he let himself go through with it. The hunger darkened his eyes as he fixed his purple eyes on the soul before him, an emptiness you could drown away in, a certain temper lurking just behind the corner. He could flip so easily, draining this boy for his own comfort but he didn’t .. because that boy had potential. And given the words he used, it pointed that out again. The silk dangerous grin on his lips gave the young man right in his words. ‘Gold is for people who have something to live for, who have time.’ He answered slowly, eyes raking over his body as he tilted his head in looking back. ‘I have more use in information, connections, you know, power.’ He shrugged almost innocent on the words. He was greedy in that way. ‘So let me offer you something,’ he felt silence. ‘I can walk away with the same hunger without feeling bad about it. Or we can strike a bargain,’ his voice drifted. ‘You seem like a rationale wise boy, knowing things, hmm?’ He whispered, challenging him to make a deal. It could stop here, it could drag on for years, one way or the other, striking a deal with Avanti didn’t always come without consequences.
