It was a strange country. Or rather the people were strange. Something about their way of speaking, moving and behaving made them different from the place he came from. Since his first day here, he’d been observing people, trying to get to know who he was dealing with and which people were important.
Meanwhile, Casimir was also looking for something entirely different. One certain monster that took something - or rather someone - from him. He needed to find that creature and make it’s life a hell. All other creatures which would cross his path would die a horrible death. Why spare one, when you catch one?

The sun burned on his rather pale skin, but the warmth of it was very pleasant. He’d found himself a place to sit on some grass. It was not the most comfortable sitting spot, but he had a good view over the streets and everyone on it.

Casimir narrowed his eyes when a certain person walked into view. It was not that he’d seen the man before. Still, there was something about him that caught his attention and he wasn’t sure what it was. Maybe his clothes? The way he walked or looked? Or those eyes. Yes, it was the eyes that caught his attention. All the emotion behind it, or maybe the lack of good emotions?
Only one way to figure out if the man was indeed worth his attention.

With careful, calculated steps he followed the other before catching up with the other one. His left arm was placed on one of his katana’s that was bound around his waist. Easily accessible if he needed them.

“Good afternoon sir,” he said nicely, but with a thick accent which was clearly not from around here. A smile found its way to his mouth, yet never reached his eyes. Those grey eyes which seemed to look right through the man, trying to discover the secrets he held in his heart.

Scars and burn marks covered his face. Where there should be nothing left. It frustrated him beyond control. How he had let his daughter go after burning him up he did not know. Perhaps it had been the last loving fiber in his body that smothered away after she dissapeared. But now he was sure, the next time he would see her she would die. Simple as that.

With losing his daughter he had lost the last bit of 'anything good' if there ever had been anything to begin with. He did barely know. He couldn't really tell anymore. His mind seemed to fog up, wipe out the memories of a past long ago. When a crown had adorned his head and when he had been tall and mighty. People had forgotten him. Saw the man walking by as a common rat, just like all of them themselves. It disgusted him to be seen as anything but royal. He would have to find a way to his usurper brother and clear him off the Medici throne. A seat that belonged to him and him alone. His daughter did not even deserve the place any longer. She had betrayed him. No he would take it back and reign till he was nothing more than bones. None who had opposed him would find safety once more. He would hunt them down as a demon king. They had called him a murderour. A beast for burning down half of the country. But they had barely seen a scratch in the surface. He was so much more. Even while he had lost his fire. There was still a storm burning inside him and where his ability had left him hate had taken form.

No, none would be save again. He would find his revenge and it would be sweet. Oh so sweet.

A voice shocked him up from his thoughts. Turning his head slowly he stared at the young man who had dared to speak to him. Narrowing his crimson eyes he stared the man down. He was smiling but not genuine. It didn't reach his eyes. The man wanted something, they always wanted something.

He turned himself a bit to face the man. Letting his hand rest casually on the broad sword hanging from his belt as he set his other on his side. "What do you want?" He replied quite cold waiting impatiently for a reply.

There is no creature on earth
half so terrifying as a truly just man

It was a rather dark day that night and the weather could’ve been better. Dark clouds covered the sky and it looked like it would rain later today. Oh, he loved that. Sun and warmth was not made for him and he liked the dark better than the brightness of the sun. That would clarify his pale skin. Somehow it was easier to find monsters at night or on dark days. Like him they were drawn to it.
Yet he had no idea where to start looking for his monster and that one special person. You had to start somewhere otherwise it would take a very long time to find them. Casimir needed people to talk and give him some information and what better place to get that than in a bar? Only problem was that he had no idea where to find a good one with a lot of people.

Casimir had an eye for picking out intriguing figures. That man was certainly one of them. What could he say? Normal bored him rather quickly. Even though a very special person once told him everyone is normal is some way because everyone can die. No one can fully escape dead which made everyone ordinary. You get born, you live a life and eventually you die. She was so right.

The one he approached was not the most pleasant looking person he’d talked to in the pas. Large, nasty scars covered his face and seemed to go down. It made him interesting. Where did he get the scar? What made him look so bitter? Did he deserve it? All those questions raised to his head. His skill set automatically put to action, which was showing. The thumb from his hand that was resting on one of his katanas made circles over the handle.
“I’m wondering if you know a good place to get something to eat of drink?” he said with a half smile on his pale face. “You see, I’m new here and have no fucking clue where to go or where to even start.” The man lifted his shoulders and looked around him. Everything was different than from where he came and it would take a while to fully adjust. Who knew, maybe this stranger could help him with that matter.
