By 'he' you mean the jarl? For sure that man must stop his attempts to capture you. It is getting dull and he knows you are the bigger threat here. Don't be sorry, I can imagine how frustrating the life on a ship can get. Perhaps a small stop in Vanaheim would ease your mind? The sun is setting here and I am writing this behind my desk. So no fancy nights for me today.

The jarl is the person I refer to, yes. His family has been after mine for generations and I don’t think he’s going to stop that tradition. I might actually take your advice on that. My captains probably won’t be happy, they want to return to the north as soon as possible. I’ve been away for quite a while, and so have they. But a brief stop for a few days wouldn’t hurt anyone. No fancy night you say? I’ll put my bets on the fact that you’d probably had a few glasses of wine or whiskey after you wrote that letter.

I am actually sipping at a 40 year old whiskey. But it does not taste the same. Not with you around. I cannot wait to see you again Freyja.

I will, thank you for offering. As you know things are not that peaceful in the north. Right now I can’t do anything else but wait for him to make a move. I don’t want to risk everything I have there. Vanaheim is one of the many places I have never visited before, for everything a first time, of course. You might as well save the whiskey for later then, it’s a shame of waisting such a good one. I can’t even write down my feelings at this very moment. But I do want to say, to end the suffering for your hawk who has been waiting quite a while now, that I cannot wait to see you too again, Larethian.

Just prepare yourself before he will make one. Surprise him, you are strong and smart enough to do so. Make them all bow to you. Today I have travelled to the oasis we have visited earlier. I have practiced some of my summons but they turn against me more often. I'm getting old I guess.

I wish I could help you with your plans. But I don't really trust the bird and my letter might fall in the wrong hands. Perhaps when we meet again we can discuss these things further. I didn't get hurt, unfortunately.. But I just know that with a little more training I will be able to summon them the right way. Ever since you left the castle my nightmares keep coming back. So most of the time I stay up late with a whiskey or two.

You’re right to not discuss such political matters over letters. It will have to wait until we can speak in person again. Unfortunately? Please, Larethian, I don’t want you to get hurt. You almost made me turn the fleet around again, but my captain warned me people wouldn’t be happy if I did. Promise me to be careful with your summons. I’m sorry those nightmares trouble you again and I wish I could bring you some comfort, which is rather difficult over a piece of paper.

We will figure things out with the city. At least I can think of some plans for you. Perhaps if I visit the north sometime I could bring them to you. For now; I feel like I am losing a fight that has been lingering in my head for weeks now. I cannot concentrate on things anymore. It is even hard to stay focussed at meetings with my advisers. That is why I visit the oasis now more than before. I wish you would have turned that cursed thing around and sail your way back.

I hope you can find peace in your head when you visit the oasis and find comfort in the sounds of the rumbling water, just like we did that day. Try to focus on the things that matter. The loyalty of Ra and Djinn when they are with you, the heat of the sun at day and the brightness of the stars at night. Try to leave the whiskey in it’s bottle for a night - drinking is only a short-term solution - and perhaps even spend it at the oasis so nobody can disturb your moment. I wish I could turn this ship around, I really do. But I cannot be selfish this time, I’ve been away for quite a while and even though there is nothing I want more then to return to Valyria.. I have to go back to the north first. I miss you.

Thank you again Freyja, I suppose I haven't said it enough while you wete here but you always seem to know an answer for everything. We cannot be selfish indeed, but sometimes a person has to be selfish in order to make themselves happy. Although our position as royals most of the time banishes us from heing happy. I hope hou can find some rest back in Falkreath. But do know that your room is always open for you that you are welcome. I will try my best to succeed and banish my thought but without your support it may take a while longer.

Sometimes there is no need for things to be said out loud. I wasn’t the only one with answers to questions, don’t forget about that. You gave me answers to so many of my questions. You’re completely right, about being selfish. And I will, one day. I’m sure of that. Thank you, it means a lot to me that I always have someone that got my back. Believe in yourself, Larethian. You’re one of the strongest persons I’ve ever met and you don’t need my support. But I understand it can be hard. Just know that we wander under the same stars at night. It seems like we are miles away, but in reality it’s a lot closer then you could imagine.

Days have been quite busy at the castle. I haven't got the time to reply on your message sooner. Night has fallen currently and I woke up having these dreams again. They started to remind me of the past now more than ever. I would love to explain them to you but by message isn't the easiest thing to do. So hopefully I will see you soon. In Archeon or Hillerod

I guess the bird must have given you my letter by now but I haven't got any response from you? Is something wrong? Did I say anything that might have offended you? I will wait for your response again..
