Shy ~ Zanna has never been an outspoken or outgoing person. Despite the fact that she could share most things with her parents, she just doesn’t feel like doing so. She has a hard time expressing her thoughts and feelings, especially since she is living on the streets of Rhoynar. She guards her feelings almost like a professional, though one can always see when she is uncomfortable. She is used to caring for herself since her mother passed away, which is why she never  felt like grabbing the spotlight, instead she tried to help her father as much as possible without gathering his attention. This makes her very easy-going as well. She has no need to speak much, instead she can rely on her instincts. It is the way she prefers things, by not being questioned too much.

Intelligent ~ Zanna might be silent but she is extremely smart. While she is a different kind of intelligent then most people her age, she can remember a lot of information. Information about places for example and remembering faces. Which can help her trust the right people at the right time. Her wisdom isn’t only fact-based, it is mostly based on her experiences. Experiences that shaped and formed her in the person she is today.

Hasty ~ Zanna is always busy with something. She feels the need to do something, which is important to survive on the streets. She can’t just sit and do nothing for a long period of time. To keep her mind occupied she prefers to work hard or play games. Zanna has trouble sitting in large groups, for it is difficult  to keep an eye on many people at the same time. She also doesn’t like being alone in a silent place for too long, as it won’t keep her thoughts from straying towards negative things. She prefers not to overthink things, instead she wishes to act fast and with confidence. Thinking won’t help the situation in any way.

Controlling ~ Zanna is very controlling about some things. She has to have a schedule which she uses to live her day to day life. She is afraid of letting go of structure, especially if that means that she or others she cares about can get hurt. She feels very responsible about a lot of things. The easiest way to be sure that nothing out of the ordinary or nothing dangerous can happen is to keep in control.

Easy-going ~ Zanna knows a lot about people. Her father was a remarkable teacher for that, as has been the streets. Some might think she looks straight to them, because her eyes are like mirrors. She has a great understanding about some grown-up things and dangers. Zanna knows the possible reactions of people when for example someone has been hurt or something is stolen. She knows the dangers of getting close to people that are working hard to stop those things from happening. Zanna prefers to stay on neutral ground and keep herself (and others) from fighting.

Insecure ~ Zanna is known to be very insecure about herself and others. She is very careful in whom she trusts and even though she hasn’t got a hard time in understanding others and their priorities for someone her age, she still has trouble telling others how she feels about things. Zanna doesn’t want others to worry about her and keeps many things silent because of that. Unless she has no other choice then speaking about her worries, she doesn’t do so. Besides that plenty of people say one thing and do the exact opposite which is really confusing for her at times, which makes her very insecure about her own being.

Withdrawn ~ Zanna knows it is best to withdraw oneself if she is a possible dangerous situation. If she is in a crowded place she most certainly will stay close to one she can trust, like Kaz. She also fears intimacy which means that she remains on a clear distance from those that try to touch her, even if it is a friendly touch.


Zanna was born eight years ago in one of the small houses nearby Brightwater Keep. She was the first child of Farah and Bently. While she wasn't totally expected, they still tried to love the young girl who was born early on in spring. They weren't a very rich family, but still had enough to live from. Her father was often working in the mines and otherwise enjoying a good drink in the pubs. Her mother on the other hand was known to be a great housewife and cook.

When Zanna was two years old her mother was pregnant again. This time with a baby boy, whom was stillborn. Her father was heartbroken when her mother died during childbirth and their son didn't survive the birth. He seemed to grow far worse than he had been, drinking more often and leaving the small girl to fend for herself. Though one of the neighbours, a sweet old lady had a soft spot in her heart and tried to take care of Zanna.

Her father wasn't exactly a nice and friendly guy, he drank to much and sometimes didn't even recognize his own daughter and at other times was angry at her. He would have been much happier with his wife instead of his daughter around. His wife wouldn't come back so he was stuck with a young child. On one of his nights out, he got killed by another man in the pub and never returned. Zanna was eight years old by then and after being cared for by the old lady for two weeks, decided to take a go living at the streets. There she was found by Kaz.

Zanna is a small, tiny girl who doesn’t look that impressive. Which is why she can help Kaz whenever he needs it. Her warm and childish look makes her look as innocent as one can be. Most certainly not as one thieve, which she is. She has learned to survive on the streets and with the help of Kaz. Her clothes are mostly neat but old, the colours differ. Her skin tone is warm and light, making her stand out next to Kaz, who looks a lot darker with his tattoos.


Psychic Linking ~ Zanna has the ability to let others feel whatever she wishes them to feel. In a way she can connect herself with others to relay messages or to scare them away. Ones she trusts someone she can give them that sensation as well. Though since she knows more negative than positive emotions it is more probable that she shares negative emotions with others. She is still learning how to use this gift. It means that she won’t always be in control of it.
