Sell your soul, not your whole self
They shouldn't do anything uneccissary, said Diana, they should avoid Valyria, spoke Apollo. And Juno.. of course Juno agreed. They all gave answers Mercury didn't want to hear. He just wanted to stick his fingers in his ears and pretend he was deaf. Why couldn't they just say 'sure, fine, go ahead?' Why was everything so complicated? He just wanted to go for a stroll and they just had do prevent him from doing that. What had he ever done wrong? Oh yeah. Mercury kept his mouth shut, though it was quite obvious he didn't like what he was hearing.
When Minerva placed her gaze upon him and talked about visiting the Mother, Mercury looked at his hands, avoiding eyecontact. The last thing he wanted was to visit Ceres. He had disappointed her, he could feel it. He didn't want to atone for what he had done. He wanted to apologize, but would she even hear him? Would she even care? The vampire swallowed, shaking his head slowly when Minerva asked if anyone had something to add to the conversation.

Natura nihil frustra facit
The Commander of Health spoke again after the redhead had finished warning the other two. He suggested them to take certain roads instead of others and all Diana did was nodding, confirming and agreeing with both Apollo and Juno, who seconded the man as well.
It was then that Minerva mentioned the Mother. The Huntress’ head tilted in her direction with an almost undetectable movement and she immediately grasped the Warrior’s faint smile. By instinct, she turned to look at Mercury as well, since he was the one going with Minerva, hoping to see some kind of excitement, or some sort of love towards the Mother like she saw with the woman in front of her, but all she could see, was uncertainty and sadness, given the fact that the Messenger was looking at his hands, avoiding eye contact with everyone else. Diana slightly frowned but knowing that anyone else could look at her, straightened up her face almost immediately, hoping that no one really had the time to look at her.
Minerva took Diana’s attention once again, when she started suggesting that Juno could’ve travelled to some southern realm. Unexpectedly, the woman also mentioned her name and a slight smile formed on her lips. ’I would be honored to help you with this.’ She simply said to the Warrior, before turning to the Protector and smiling at her as well. She loved Vanheim, she loved her home, but she clearly didn’t like living her whole long life locked up in a house or in a small village. In that sense, she felt extremely bad for Apollo, who could never leave the village, given his task. With those thoughts, she touched the man’s arm and smiled at him as well, but this time, it was an encouraging smile, a thankful smile, for all he had done for the villagers and for the Guardians themselves. She might have looked silly but she needed him to know that they couldn’t live as they did without him and that was her small way to thank him.

NE CHERCHEZ PLUS MON COEUR
des monstres l'ont mangé
When the other Guardians were discussing their travel plans, Apollo was never one to get too involved. Only when it came down to really important matters, such as travel routs, he shared his thoughts. Aside from that, he didn’t really have business with it. Out of all of them, he was the one who always stayed behind. The villagers needed him and it was his duty to keep them healthy. A task that required him to be present here at all times. He was at peace with it though, but he wouldn’t deny it was still hurting a bit when he heard the stories when his brother and sisters returned from their adventures.
When Diana touched his arm, the Healer was pulled out of his thoughts again. The encouraging smile he was met with when he looked up, surely lifted his spirits a bit. “That is all for me, unless someone else has anything they need to say.” He heard Minerva say, and he slowly shook his head. There was nothing worth mentioning, at least not for now. Perhaps, on their next meeting, he would have to expose the relationship of the Commander with the cursed one. It would all depend on how focused she would be on her tasks, as that was what the Mother demanded of her.
