Also, she sells a wide variety of plants and herbs that are often sold as potions. She likes to pretend to be an alchemist. People rarely buy something at her store, but she can live from what she finds in the forest.

HISTORY

Kai is said to be the daughter of an elf and a human, but she does not remember either of them. She grew up together with an old woman, called Doris, somewhere in the wilderness of the Vithian Isles. Already as a young child Kai was fascinated by the sea. When she was six years old she found out that she could actually control it. From that day on, the little girl visited the beach daily to practice her water bending.

At the age of fifteen Doris passed away due to an unknown disease and Kai decides to go to Isla de Juegas. After living completely isolated for many years, she struggles to connect with others. Nevertheless, Kai wants to be part of the normal world. During her time in Isla de Juegas she meets a man. He was a sailor and part of a famous ship’s crew. Unlike most others, he actually seems to understand and like her. The two start to hang out with each other, which resulted in Kai madly falling in love with him. On a certain day he tells Kai that he has to set sail back home, to his wife. Kai is brokenhearted and realizes she will lose the love of her live. The night before the crew will set sail to Brightwater Keep, she enters the ship and convinces him to join her for one last night. Kai leads him to the place where she grew up and they spend the night there. The next day he wants to return to the harbour, but realizes that he cannot leave. By using her elemental control Kai made sure that her home became an island, so self-called husband couldn’t escape from her.

Kai kept him imprisoned for a total of seven years. During this time they have sex together and Kai gives birth to two healthy children. Nevertheless, his wishes for circumstances to change grows stronger by the day. He can no longer bear being separated from his wife. On a night Kai awakes and notices that he is gone and has taken the two children. Kai starts searching the whole island, but comes to the conclusion that he escaped. She is hoping for him to come back and waits for him on the island for another six months before she realizes that he will not return. Kai sets sail to Brightwater Keep in order to get her love of her live and children back, but she has too many problems adapting to the overly crowded city. The brokenhearted woman moves back to the wilderness somewhere between the capital of Rhoynar and Forlindon. Close to the main road she opens a shop where she starts selling random old stuff, which have magical powers according to her. In fact, they are useless. Also, she sells a wide variety of plants and herbs that are often sold as potions. She likes to pretend to be an alchemist. Whenever people visit her shop she asks them if they have seen her ‘husband’ and shows a drawing of him, which she keeps in her necklace. Unfortunately, no one could tell her yet where her ‘husband’ could be found. Only an old man told her that he is spending his live now with ten other woman.

Fun fact: Kai despises other women, because she thinks that they know her ‘husband’ and keep him away from her. Hence, she tries to poison almost all the women that visit her shop, but they rarely die from her poison.

As she is alone for most of the time Kai owns a couple of pets that keep her company.

Doris the Mule
Doris is a female mule named after the old woman that used to take care of Kai and is used for transportation. Unlike Kai, Doris always seems to be in a good mood and is very friendly. Whenever someone approaches her shop the mule neighs to inform her. Kai thinks that Doris is really wise and clever, and hence always asks for advice from her.

Samwell the Rabbit
Samwell was given to Kai by a traveler in exchange for an old mirror. He advised Kai to kill the animal and eat it. Luckily for Samwell, Kai does not eat meat. As the rabbit had no use for her in the first place she wanted to release it in the wilderness, but Samwell did not want to leave. After a couple of attempts Kai decides to keep the rabbit. Samwell sleeps with Kai in bed where he managed to occupy a big spot for himself. Although Samwell always seems to be a nice, he is actually really selfish and egocentric.

Snow and Flake the two Hens
Not much can be said about these two. Kai owns them because they produce eggs. Also, when she is in a rage she likes to scream at them in order to calm herself. Their names originate from the fact that Kai has never seen snow, but now she can see Snow and Flake.
