He broke her heart. Her cold and emotionless heart. Shattered within minutes of his words reaching her ears. But she kept walking. Kept her head up like the princess she was. Stepping forward at her fathers side but speaking not a single word to him. She would hear about this tonight after dinner. He would probably call her to his study and she would be killed. Or worse, scolded like a small child. But Rhys would survive for now, that was all that mattered to her.
__
Weeks passed. Passed with her thinking of the man eery single day. She needed to find a way to save him. To protect him from her fathers eventual punishment, which would result in his death.
With these weeks her feelings for him had grown even worse. She wanted him near her but also wanted to hurt him. Wanted to make him beg for forgiveness, forgiveness for speaking that way to her. But at the same time she wanted to hug him and not let go anymore. Love him and show him what he truly ment to her. But those feelings would go unspoken and she couldn't let him see anymore of it. He was their captive and on top of that a lowborn shipper. She was not allowed the pleasure of his feelings because they would be below her standards.
Fuck standards, fuck status and fuck royality.
Robin stared at the hallway. Waiting for him to pass by. Knowing this was on his route. Waiting like a serpent to strike her prey. She hadn't spoken to him since then, but today she would. No one else was around. They would be alone. They needed to be alone.
As he passed the corner she stepped forward. Dressed in a simple blue and black dress with her hair pinned upwards. Bare feet like almost always inside of the palace. She looked like a princess but at the same time like a lost girl. Afraid of speaking up. Yet she did. She found her voice. She needed to. "Rhys.".

Days had turn into weeks and every sandstorm after another one had passed by the castle. What felt like a rollercoaster when he was on the ships working with the crew felt like a death sentence in the castle. The work he had to do as a punishment had bored him.. exhausted him and asked so much of him that his brain was shut off and he was doing his job like some kind of a zombie. They had locked him up like he was some kind of animal and he would never forgive them for this. Although he was a simple human being with no title anymore and no wealthy status someone would pay for this. Rhys did not knew how or when but he wanted his revenge.. and his alone. These past few weeks went by as a blur. And everything that had happened on the ship was a fading memory. The little feelings he had for the girl where fading with every tree trunk he had to cut and with every floor he had to sweep. Rhys never had felt so humiliated in his life. Hours passed by and as he finished sweeping the entire garden sweat was dripping from it’s face. As he wiped it away he let the broom fall on the ground and wiped away the sweat with his shirt. It would have been better if they had a much more entertaining job for him. Something like ‘guarding’ princesses or work on the ships. But instead he had to be ‘happy’ with this. As he started walking inside the castle again he held his eyes on the ground. Making no eye contact with the people around here. He obvious did not belong here and that was what he heard them whispering all the time. But before he knew someone stepped forward and called his name. ’Someone’ with a familiar voice. He lifted up his head and looked at the woman in front of him with his liquid golden eyes. His expression was moody. Just as he was. Silver and gold, mate |

There was no good way to bring this to him. No good way to bring this to anyone. Not only was she furious about it but she was also scared of his reaction..
It had been just a day ago, she tried to deny it. Yelled about it, cried even. She had wanted to save him get him out of this palace and have hope for what they could be. But her father had seen all through this. He knew from the start that this was the best, the only way to punish her for running away from home. Not only had he put a leash around Rhys' neck but also a chain around hers. And now she was forced to speak this out to him..
His eyes were melted gold. Changing around with a darker look. It would almost scare her, if she wasn't sure that he would be getting a lot more angry in a second. "Your tasks are over." She simply said, forcing a mask of emotionlessness over her face as she crossed her arms. "As a matter of fact, you may start commanding the others around here." Holding her head up high she took a deep breath. "Father has decided what he'll do with you, with us. And he found out about your heritage."
"You and I will be wed Rhys Torrance Bayard."
Once again her words would be like a death sentence but this time she kept her face straight, no emotion visable. "Your brother will be notified soon. You're title as heir to Rhoynar restored in order to confirm the legality of our marriage and you will become a Prince of Valyria." Respeaking the words of her father perfectly while keeping a straight face she spoke on.
"You may not object. I may not object. These are the kings wishes. And his wish is law." She nodded her head at him biting her anger and tears back. "I will escort you to your new room. You'll have a guard appointed to you, if all goes according to plan we'll be wed in three months." THe words nearly choked in her throat as she looked up at him once more.

For a moment he felt to need to just ignore her and walk on. Finish his tasks and then go to sleep and wait for another day. But he couldn’t. He knew he would be in trouble by not ‘respecting’ the girl in front of him. And the last thing he wanted was to have another problem. A surprised look appeared on the man it’s face as Robin started talking about his tasks. She cannot mean this. Can she? "Father has decided what he'll do with you, with us. And he found out about your heritage." of course. He this the King. He can do as he likes with anybody as he pleases and there was nothing they or any other soul can do about it. You cannot mean this he said with a laughter in his voice. As his eyes turned darker and more dangerous. You got to be f*cking kidding me! I am not going to marry you. In an instant his voice turned low, angry. Growling. I don’t want to be referred with the name Bayard anymore. My name is De Poitiers. And it will stay that way. I have stripped myself freely from my title as Duke a few years ago and it will not be turned around. My brother does his job perfectly. he hissed. As he made a few steps towards robin and looked down on her. That man may be your king. But he is not MY king and he never will be It was true. All these years on the ships has made him reckless. He never had to obey anyone and he would never do that .. not now. Not ever.. Help me escape this rotten castle and we both can live free. You and I both know we will never make each other happy. He stepped back. His eyes still filled with hatred. Hatred for this country. Hatred for the cargo they had to ship all the way. He had longed back for the sea and it’s brutal tidal waves that crashed with a lot of force against the ships deck. Rhys wanted to feel the salty sea breeze on it’s skin again. And right now. Everything was taken away from him. And with this new ’task’ he would never see the ship and his crew ever again. He was a fish on dry sand. It was choking. And painful. Silver and gold, mate |

His anger was to be expected. She had nothing to say against it and she could only lower her eyes with a sigh as he yelled. The small fact that he so obviously didn't want to marry her stung a bit. Making her jaw clench tight as she hold back a commment. She had to replace herself in his position. She would absolutely hate it as well. She'd fight every step of the way if she didn't have some idiot feelings for this man. So in trying to show him that she cared for him, she had to completely oppose marrying him.. Did her logic make any sense?
Shaking her head quick she crossed her arms. "He may not be the king in your heart. But he is. And everyone will have to follow his decisions." She said straightforward as she looked up at him. "And he is my father, I cannot dissobey a direct order Rhys." Clenching her fists together she tried to relax herself, taking a deep breath before looking at him. "But I myself am not at all pleased If you may think so." It came out more as a grumble before she crossed her arms. "Why the hell do you think I got you here in the first place. In order to save your life. All those other idiotic friends of yours died okay." She stared up at him. "I got you here so I could get you out. Do you think I for a second thought my father could think of such a rediculous plan." Turning her head away she looked around her just to make sure no guard was listening Even though she could always be sure that the walls were. "Look, I'll get you out okay. I promised you on the dock and I promise you again. But you gotta do it my way or death awaits you." Staring straight up at him she hoped her eyes would be somewhat confincing. She wasn't about to let him die. She would't be able to handle her feelings for him if he did, but she for once in her life had to choose his happiness over hers. And besides that, if she forced him into this for real he'd never love her. He wouldnt love her if she helped him escape, she would never see him again then. But atleast he wouldn't hate her as he would every day of his life if they were wed. And that was something Robin would have to live with. The never seeing but no hate part certainly sounded better than having to face his anger and rage towards her every day.
After all Robin was still a human girl. And a heartbreak once sounded better than being torn apart every day.

He stepped forward as she started talking about ‘following’ the king. His liquid golden eyes filled with rage and anger. Now even more than ever. Am I not clear?Do you think me a fool? I told you that I don’t obey to a king. Not your king, not Navarre’s king, not the Duke of Rhoynar. Nor ever in my entire life! He bashes back at her. I have been a free man my entire life. I don’t need chains around my neck and limbs like you royals do to live the life I want. I don’t need castles and pretty clothes. All I need is a boat and a captain and I am happy. Rhys fired all the frustration and anger he had on the girl in front of him. Some would call it unfair. Other would tell him that he was right. But right now. He cared about other things than the girl her feelings. Rhys narrowed his eyes and stepped back. Taking a moment to calm himself down. He let his hand glide through his dark brown hair. Turning his gaze for a moment away from her to be turned back into a few seconds. I can’t do this. he shook his head. I know nothing from the assassination attempt on your mother. I worked for weeks for you and your father and it still isn’t enough. Some king I don’t even know is walking over my life as some giant. Rhys sighed and stepped back letting his back rest against the wall. As Robin looked away from him he followed her gaze and then heard her talking again. He let her words run through his mind. Trying to find a way to get out off this mess. And as he pushed himself up from the wall he stepped towards her again. Until he was just a step away he leaned over. His eyes gazing into hers. What if we helped each other he softly spoke. His mouth brining towards her ear. One thing he had learned from all of this was that the castle had eyes and ears everywhere. What if. You get “us” out off the castle and I make sure you can live your life outside of the castle walls as free as a bird. As he spoke the words he tried to find her reaction. I know you want to go out.. and see the world. You long to see the world. And now you think.. How does he know that? Well.. your maids talk you know. And they are easily persuaded. The last words he spoke with a grin. Hopefully knowing what he ment. Silver and gold, mate |

He made her feel small. So much smaller than a princess should feel. She hated it, wanted to rise above him and push him down into the ground. But she couldn't crush him. Instead she kept silent staring up at him with hardened eyes. She didn't know how to reply or place his anger. All she wanted was for him to calm down and accept his fate. However harsh and bloody it would be. Instead she shook her head and stared down grimly.
What had she expected? Excuses and loving words? It would've been stupid to even suggest that, but this hardness was also not appreciated and she had to sigh to keep her own emotions down as far as she could.
What she couldn't hold down however was her beating heart which nearly jumped out of her throat as he leaned towards her, almost touching her as he brought his lips to her ears. Closing her eyes at the sensation of his breath against her skin she had to focus herself on concentrating on his words. He wanted to seal her own death with his.. Getting her out of this life would mean losing everyone she held dear. Losing her sister, her mother and her father.. It was too great of a tradeof. She couldn't accept it.
"For that plan to succeed you'll first have to act like you like my fathers plan. you understand that right." She spoke out before even thinking it through. Realising for herself that his little 'plan' was also the only way to get him out safely. She'd return to her parents. She'd bend down and obey them for the rest of her life, but she would get Rhys out first.
She raised her hand, running it over his skin before laying her arm around his neck. Holding him in place bend over towards her. Turning her face to stare him in the eyes she smiled careful but sly. "We'll just have to play a little game. Untill he trusts you enough to keep his eyes off you. And then we'll both get out." She smirked. Playing along with his plans easily turning her mindset for him around as if she was truly accepting his plan.
Letting her other hand glide over his cheek she rested her thumb on his lips for a few seconds. "So we play along with my dad. Escape Valyria and live out our lives free and apart from eachother." She spoke the last words with only a tiny hint of bitterness as she pulled a bit on his lowerlip. "Sounds easy enough. As long as you do not act like dead weight once we do make the escape." Smirking a bit she winked at him and let her hand glide off his face and her other fell off his shoulder. Making sure to let her fingers linger over his backbone on the way down.

He could feel she was overthinking his words just now. And for a moment he wanted to know what she thought. Or how she thought. Was she able to trick him? Probably? Should he give into the tricks and games? Probably not. He had to find a way to deal with all of this or else he would get mad. One thing he knew for sure if he had to stay here for a while at court: Rhys would make her life at court impossible. He would do anything to set foot outside the castle within these few days. But everything would be perfectly planned and well organised. Without getting into trouble. She would beg him to go with her. He was sure of that. She leans forwards and touches his stubbled cheek, she's most certainly an attractive young woman and he's only a simple man. Why the hell would the kind even think about marrying his daughter off to someone like him? He didn’t knew. He only had to give into it and play along. Fine, I’ll do it. She would probably think that he was playing games with her with agreeing on this whole idiotic plan. But he had to. If he wanted to be free he had to do as the king pleases. He would be out in no time. No problem with playing games girl. he raised his shoulders and tilted his head a bit. I mean, how hard can it be to trick a king and deceive him? It almost sounded too good to be true. So he had to be careful. For himself and for the girl. As she let her hand trill over his backbone a stroke of lightning runs through his whole body. Leaving her purple eyes to stare straight into his soul. Rhys leans forwards and gives into the fire brewing in his chest. He places his hand loose on the nape of her neck as he pulls her closer and kisses her on the lips. She wouldn’t be able to escape so easily. A shiver creeps over his spine and everything inside him goes from freezing cold to burning hot. Her weight leans against him and he closes his eyes, completely swayed by the moment. He tightens his grip on the back of her neck, still soft but pulling her closer towards him while his other hand is placed on the lower of her back. He wants more, his entire body screams for more. But he knew he should stop. He was still just a ’servant’ and nothing was made formal between them just now. In a slow way he stops the kiss between them and let his lips glide over her cheek towards her ear again. One word love: curiosity. You long for freedom. You long to do what you want to do because you want it. To act on selfish impulse. You want to see what it's like. One day you won't be able to resist. He whispered. Letting his words die slowly into thin air. Silver and gold, mate |

Thoughts shifted and formed new emotions in her head. Leaving home would mean leaving everyone she loved. But at the same time she'd be with a man she barely knew who felt nothing for her. It would be only a tiny chance that he'd actually find her attractive and if he did there was even a smaller chance that he actually liked her. All in all she was saver if she just let him rot away, forget about her feelings and live on, a normal.. boring life.
But the promise of seeing the world with him possibly at her side was enough for her to atleast try it out. Who said she couldn't return home. Who said she couldn't kill him if it didn't work the way she wanted to. She smirked as he agreed to her, nodding slowly as she watched him closely. "One mistake and it will be your death." She pulled up her brows. Decieving her father, she had done it many times. But her life wasn't at stake if he found out.
In a second.. All her thoughts. All her emotions it drifted away. Making place for a fire burning in her chest. His lips found hers just like back on that ship. But this time the kiss they shared was fiercer than before. Wrapping her arms around his shoulders she moved towards him. Pressing her body into his, finding they fit perfect together as she let herself explore his lips with her own. Time could pass by in a rapid pace. Replacing seconds for hours and she wouldn't notice. All that she noticed was him. Realising that what she wanted was right in front of her. That he was like a drug to her. And every last question she had about wether or not going with him faded into nothing. She'd follow this man to the end of the earth if he allowed her to. Would kill and destroy for him. It was all so clear now. He was her future. The only thing she deserved was what he allowed her to have. It was sickening but so so good. It almost made her giddy.
As their lips released eachother every hair stood up on her body feeling his lips trail towards her ear. His words barely registered in her head as she lowered her head into his neck. "I am.. A very selfish person." She managed to breath into his neck placing a kiss there biting a bit on the skin before moving her own lips to his ear. "And a very dangerous one at that. You'd better watch yourself before I devour you whole.. Rhys." She nearly groaned in his ear as she let her lips glide over his earlobe letting her hands run over his back again holding her breath.

He knew he had here precisely where he wanted to have her. Slowly melting like wax in his hands. They always did. As the fiery kiss came to and end he slowly erased his lips from hers. Taking his breath again he pressed a kiss in her neck. One mistake little bird.. he softly spoke after pressing another kiss on the soft skin in her neck again and again. Rhys raised his free hand and placed his fingers around a strand of her dark hair. It was soft, like a fleece scarf or a silk dress. He twirled it around his finger and slide it back behind her ear. As he leaned back again piercing his vengeful golden pools into hers. One mistake, and I both take us down. his voice trembled. But he spoke without hesitation in his voice. Death did not frighten him. Nobody did. As soon as she stepped back into his embrace again lighting struck through Rhys his body. He had her where he wanted her. But she also had him at his weakest. Women where always his weakest and most touchable spot. After all the years of working on the interceptor for Asher, and visiting the many brothels once they set food on land and they where free to do anything they want he always went crazy. Drinks and whores and sleep where the only three things that meant something in his life. Besides the raiding he did during his travels. He pushed his dreams out off his head and put his focus on the lady in front of him again. That makes us equals he grinned as she places her lips into his neck again. His body almost on fire as she bit in the skin of his neck. A soft groan slipped from his lips and he grabbed her by her arms creating the space between them. Once Rhys managed his breath again he started talking. I am also very selfish, brutal. And I will not hesitate to make your life as miserable as I can at court. The last words he spoke with a sinister smile on his lips. His eyes gazing away from hers for just a moment. Those golden eyes followed every soul that walked by them. From a servant with a broom to a princess walking with her guards. They where al so different. And yet the only thing that mattered right now was the witch in front of him. As he turned his gaze back towards Robin he curled the corner of his lips up. His smile was sinister and not many souls could read his mind by only looking at him. Some people where an open book. But Rhys was a closed steel door with spikes around it. No one would enter. But once you did, you would never leave. Watching every vicious soul that walked by with his tempting eyes. And for a seconds the thought run through his mind that he was now a ‘royal’. Better than the servants he used to sleep and work with. And that opened new ways for him. His eyes where drawn into hers again as she continued her words. She knew very well how to turn him on as if she drew every thought from his mind with her tempting eyes. Rhys tilted his head and he started talking again; I like dangerous, it keeps a man focussed on it’s target. he licks his lips as if she was a prey. After a moment of silence he let a sigh run down his lips. For a moment he forgot that the king has clenched his grip around him a lot more then he would ever thought. For now; he would never be a free man again. He forced himself to shove this thought away and put his attention on robin again. So, tell me girl. he began. What is our first goal as a ‘couple' he laughed as he placed his arm around her neck pressing her against him. what a wicked game we play |

The princess of Valyria was very much aware of the fact that they were standing in the hallway. Still very much in sight of anyone who could speak about what they were doing right here to the king. And her father would'nt be all too happy about that she was sure of it. But as they were both driving eachother crazy she couldn't help but take it one step further with every movement.
A grin crossingher lips as she let her hand run over his belt staring up at him. Her deep purple/pinkish eyes focussed on the man in front of her. She wanted him, right now, right here if it was possible. But she knew how to keep her manners straight. She was after all the nice innocent little lady. She was not supposed to think or even dream about the kind of actions she was thinking of in her head. They were unfit of a lady.
Yet she was no lady. She was a witch, a soulless wanderer who would do anything to get what she wanted. In all honesty, her sister should be happy she loved her so much and she had no desire for the throne. Otherwise that would've turned out quite nasty.
"Well I always said I like my man like I like my adventures. Dangerous." She smirked flirtious at him pulling his lower half closer to hers all while pushing him a bit more back into a corner. Out of direct sight but still so close to being seen. Making it all the more exciting.
"I could think of one or two things to do." She began. Leaving one hand on his belt while her other ran through his hair. "Many many dark things I've been wanting since our little boattrip." She smirked softly letting her hand glide from his hand to his chin grabbing it tight but not harsly and moved him towards her. "And I could get it nicely. Or I'll get it the rough way. Either way I'll get it." She stated simply opening her mouth to say something more but closed it and shook her head.
"I take it you know where my room is." She spoke not even laying a question in her words. "My room, five minutes. just make sure you're not seen. Otherwise my fathers dogs will be enjoying a new toy." A sadistic smile crossed her lips as her hand slipped from his belt and placed it on the back of his pants staring up at him.
"I feel quite some anger towards me left in you. Perhaps I can make those feelings drift away hmm." Licking her lips she turned away from him and walked off. Making sure to show off her figure with every step she took away from him.
Making her way to her room where she put her hair into a ponytail checking her dress over quickly before taking a deep breath as excitement flew through her veins. Wondering wether or not he would accept her invition and what she would do if he did or didn't..

For the moment he had to live with the fact that he would never set foot on a ship ever again. Who would know when the king would loose his grip and set him free? It could be years.. or it could never happen. Rhys did not want to think too much about it but he hated it when someone put his grip around his throat and slowly suffocate him. But she snapped him out off his thoughts almost immediately. As she pushed him into a corner out off the direct sight of other people but still close to being seen. That lady in front of him definitely made him crazy. Not only his body but also his mind. Time and time again. Ever since he had found the little witch on the ship she had layed her spell upon him. She was a new target for him to worry about. A game, a tool. But she would never be more then that. Not even if the king wants them to marry. Nor ever. "I could think of one or two things to do. Many many dark things I've been wanting since our little boattrip.” "And I could get it nicely. Or I'll get it the rough way. Either way I'll get it.” she spoke. with a slight smirk on her face and grabbing his chin. He had to be honest. He loved the wicked games she played. The teasing, treasure hunting. It aroused him in many other ways someone could ever encourage him. "I take it you know where my room is.” Robin spoke. It was more of a demand this time. And again he smirked. He saw the movement of her hand in the corner of his eyes and once she placed her hand on his belt and moved hers to the back of his pants a smirk appeared on his face. His eyes sharp and haunting. I know where your room is miss. I’ve been there.. Done things while you were away.. he grinned. Of course it was a lie. But it could probably stir up the whole situation some more. Curse your fathers dogs, little bird. He groaned. He would rather go sleep with the maids and for a second the though crossed his mind. What if he slept with the princess her personal maids. That would stir up some more drama. Maybe then. She would give him some space, make sure he could breath some more and do things he liked. As his thoughts continue he grinned. and his liquid golden eyes turned down into hers again. Rhys grabbed her by her waist and pushed her over with her back against the wall. Placing his free hand besides her head resting against the concrete. Anger? he laughed as he moved his hand from her waist to the nape of her neck. Pushing himself closer until she was only a few inches away from his face. Anger is a subtile understatement to what I currently ‘feel’ for you miss. his eyes sharp and his voice hissing. You are lucky that I cannot do anything ‘dangerous’ while I am inside this castle. he stated bluntly. But the truth is; you cannot lock me up here forever. And once I get out of this rotten place. I will return with a thousand men and show that precious father of yours what anger is. his words dying into thin air. his voice taking on the edge that it had when he was in battle. It wasn't the raider or the lover standing in the garden now, it was the soldier who fought to defend and protect at all costs. It didn’t matter what would happen to him. As long as he could set himself free before he would be killed. As Robin set herself free from his grip again she walked off. And of course he would followed every movement she made with her body until she disappeared from his eyes. She knew that damn well. And as she got out off his sight he wondered if he should follow her or just continue his ‘day.’ Things could be pretty heat with no people around. He already knew that from the moments they had spend on the shit. But it could also stir up some ‘feelings’. Rhys shook his head. Of course not. He would never. And for a moment he grinned and moved himself inside towards the kitchen. He needed a drink. Not only to encourage him but also to clear his mind. So he started walking inside of the castle. His eyes adjusted to the dimmer lighting after being outside. Once entered the kitchen he took two bottles of whiskey from the plates. Of course people would look shocked at him as he started drinking from the bottle but it didn’t matter to him. He was not a ‘low’ ranked men anymore. He was a fiancee of the princess of Archeon. And that made him somewhat higher than the servants around here. Rhys left the room with the bottle in his hand and made sure ’nobody’ important enough would see him enter the room. And as he opened the door of robin’s room he stepped inside. I don’t think you care for a drink do you? he began after he closed the door and pulled up the two bottles he took with him. Perhaps he just had to make the best of it. what a wicked game we play |

This man could drive her insane. Feed her anger and lust like no other. And that while by all accords she barely knew the sailor. She had met him on a ship, not even a month ago. Saw him as a threat and wanted to destroy him immediatly. But after a month of turning and twisting around eachother she had come to the realisation that this man was her future. He had her fate in his dirty blistered hands. There was nothing she could do about it except bow and wave to his every command.
The haunting words about her bedroom made her feel sick to the bone. Making a small mental note to herself that she had to change her sheets and perhaps even the bedding completely if she ever watned to have a normal night again. However to the surface she made no reactino to his taunt not giving him the satisfaction of even a hint of pain in her eyes. No, she was better trained than that. More careful. She was the one that did the haunting, she was the one who'd leave him sleepless craving for her body and soul. It would never be the other way around, she could never let it be the other way around.
Rhys already had enough hold on her. She would not let him see that it frustrated her on who he sexually advanced and where. Even if it did sting just a little bit too much.
As she had tried to walk away and was smashed back into the little corner she couldn't help but stare up at him. Opening her mouth just a little bit as a smirk turned onto her pearly lips and anger burning into her pinkish eyes. "Anger you say." She breathed exhaling visably. "I would not blame you for such a reaction. Too bad you will be destroyed before you could even reach him. You may hold a keep over me." Grabbing his throat she moved closer to him, squeezing just a bit too hard. "My family goes above anything and everything. And I will burn down cities. Slaughter thousands, to save their lives. Your life would just be one of the many who'd be lost to my rage. Because dearest Rhys. You think a storm rages inside you. While a hurricane holds its place inside my heart. A hurricane you do not wish to release. Not in a thousand years."
The warning was clear and icy cold. Like venom slipping over her lips before she let go of his throat again. Making her way to her room. Here she made herself ready for him, knowing that he could just as easily stay away but she was certain that he wouldn't. He'd always come to her. Just like she would to him. Fate had played an awful little game with them. Twisting their future together and Robin was certain. Either they'd end up together or they'd kill eachother. There was no inbetween.

A quick glance at her bed made the woman growl softly ordering a maid to get rid of all her bedding and replace it as quick as she could.
With her arms crossed she watched how the maid finished off with the last new pillow as her door opened. Quickly she turned her head, her black braid nearly slapping her in her face as she turned so quickly. Staring at Rhys before turning back to the maid. "Leave Zaam (slave)" She stared at the younger woman who quickly scurried past Rhys and left the room.
As soon as she left a smirk crossed Robin's lips and looked up at Rhys. "Actually I could use a good drink. I've been sober for way too long already in this shithole." She groaned soft and walked towards him grabbing one of the two bottles. Putting it to her mouth she took a few beg sips releasing a deep sigh as she let the bottle leave her lips again. Walking back to the center of her room she pet the small fluffy black cat that had jumped onto her new covers immediatly. Smiling soft at the animal before turning her face to the large windows that stared out over the city of Archeon. She loved her room for those very windows. Always showing her the most gorgeous sunsets. Giving her a perfect view of the nightsky. Placing her together with the freedom she always longed to feel. But the freedom she so desperatly wished for still seemed so far away from the room that appeared more as a prison from time to time.
A small sigh slipped her lips before she took another big sip and stepped towards Rhys again, sitting down on a rather large and comfortable looking 'couch' which was filled with small pillows and decorative blankets. Crossing her legs she made sure to show off a bit more skin of her legs than a lady actually should watching him interested. "So then Rhys. To our.. future wedding hmm?" She asked a bittersweet smirk on her lips as she raised the bottle. Before her eyes trailed up and down his body.
"Say, are you planning on killing me or are you happy to see me?" She chuckled staring at a certain region on his body. Biting her lower lip a bit as she wondered if he could really be hiding a knife that close to his special little area.

Rhys made his way through the large wooden door and saw the maid and Robin inside the room. Placing a pleasant smirk on his face. Robin quickly turned herself around. Making her hair slap in her face. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the whole scene that was playing right before his eyes. And as Robin started talking in her native language towards the servant he watched the young woman walk towards him. He decided to block her path for a moment and smiled dark towards the lady, raised his hand and took some strands from her hair between his fingers. Playing with the rough feeling hairs for a bit. He pointed his eyes up again towards Robin and released the grip around her hair. It didn’t take long until he stepped to the side and let her leave the room. After all she was too much of a distraction and he had to focus on the black haired lady in front of him. Ahnok staavek (hello miss) he began.Translating the words in his head. He had learned some Dovahzul words from a dragon master he met during one of his journeys. It had been a rather old men. He would be probably death right now. Rhys handed her over the bottle and watched her took some sips from the bottle as he also took a sip from the alcohol. He closed his eyes for a moment and let the the warm brewery glide down his throat. And then opened them again. Watching her, curious. He was always intrigued when a woman with such a status could drink like one of his crew members. She was indeed a fiery thing. A creature that you don’t need to anger. But he also saw so much they had in common. She was as stubborn as him, passionate, inflammable. He grinned leaning forward pushing his bottle against hers so it made a loud sound to make a toast. We are very much alike, you and I. I and you. Us. Except for a sense of honor and decency and a moral center. And personal hygiene, of course. Rhys pulled back a stool that was placed into the room and turned it around. He placed himself on it and leaned with his elbows and chest against the back of the chair his eyes wander across her figure. For a moment there was this silence again. It was not an uncomfortable silence that layed upon them. It was more comfortable. As it had to be this way. He watched her drink from the bottle he brought, watched her petting the black cat that had placed himself on the bed. And at last she had pierced her pink eyes towards the windows. I know what your thinking about miss. he watched her gaze at the window again. It indeed was a spectaculair view. aye he groans as he pulled up the bottle and took another sip. before leaning his arm onto the chair again. Why do you think I want to be back on my ship as fast as possible? He answers his own question without giving Robin the chance to reply: Wherever we want to go, we go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails. That's what a ship needs. But what a ship is...what the Interceptor really is He sighed as he found her gaze again. Waiting for a few seconds to continue. ...is freedom.” and freedom could not be bought with all the money in the world. It was something that could not be bought even though you were the king or queen. For kings and queens where also prisoners of their own castle. Suddenly she turned herself around and made her way towards him again. But to his disappointment she let herself fall down on the large couch subtile showing the feminine features of her body. Rhys took another sip of his whiskey and let the warm fluid glide down his throat, raising the bottle again. To our future wedding placing a smirk around his lips. "Say, are you planning on killing me or are you happy to see me?" He saw her eyes draw back towards a certain region on his body. And The right corner of his mouth curled up. That depends. he shrugged; for him it was a meaningless thing. He knew himself well enough to recognise that he could say one thing now and change his mind minutes, if not seconds, after. He smirks, his smile crooked but charming nonetheless. His gold eyes are easily drawn back to her as if gravity is pulling him closer. He loved letting her sit there with questions wether he would kill her in her sleep or not. She must know what kind of effect she has on him. What kind of curse she could put on him. He was just a simple man. No magic, no ’specialities.’ Only his words and his swords that he would gladly use. His brother was totally different. At least he had done his best to get better at something. Alchemy had always been Trystane his thing. And for a second his mind wondered back to his brother and what would he be like right now. He wondered. He shrugged, as he let his chin rest on his arm. But his golden gaze never escaped hers. So, tell me Robin. what keeps you busy every day? Besides being pretty and wearing that utterly heavy dress. Carefully he tastes her name on his lips. His gaze was burning, consuming. what a wicked game we play |

She was never and would never be quite the normal 'princess'. She longed for freedom. Salty wind brushing through her hair while the sea waved around her. Pulling to her wish, granting her new adventures with every new dawn.
Rhys had seemed to notice her wishfull stare outside. Spoke about the ship he seemed to call home. The home she had roughly pulled him away from probably. Robin knew little about how a ship was set together. Sure she knew the dark spots and ways to stay out of touch of sailors. But she hadn't realised a method of transportation could mean so much to a single mortal. If she hadn't known any better she would have said that he seemed to be in love with his ship. Or atleast the feelings she brought along with her wooden boards and stitched up sails.
He was in love with freedom, just as much as she was.
And in that way she could understand him. In that little object they were the same, she and here shared a common wish and desire. Was it still foolish of her to think that they could gain that together?
He seemed dissapointed that she had placed herself some feet away from him. But this gave her more options of a show for the man. Smiling absentminded she looked away. "You seem to go along well with the maids?" She breathed softly as she took another sip before burning her pink eyes straight into his golden ones. Stepping up and moving towards him.
Slowly she let her tender hand graze through his hair before pulling a bit on it to make his face move up towards her again. "As my fiancee I have to warn you though. Try something in my room again without my permission and your head will be the only thing to return to your Interceptor." She whispered in his ear. Words flowing as easy as venom as she pet his hair again and stepped further. Keeping the bottle ever close at her lips. Taking the occassional sip.
"What keeps me up day after day? Simple." She began staring at the wall of her room. "Most of the days spend here.. are with my sister. Whenever we can ofcourse. She has her duties. I have none because I am not trusted to bring my duties to a good end." She scoffed at her own 'joke' before her smile faded. "Other days I try to get out. And every day. I just live to fight with our majesty." Her smile didn't last through the last words sighing. It was true. Her sister grew ever more into a bright light that was being cast on her as the Future Queen of all Fallen Skies. And she couldn't even be trusted with finishing her sewing lessons. It was a painful truth she had made herself. But the dissapointment in her parents eyes did not go unnoticed. Making her rebel even more all while still yearning for their affection like Ravenna was praised.
Tch. She looked like a child.
She was a child.
A dangerous unsocial quickly irritated and above all adventurous and moody child.
It was a wonder that someone even wanted to be around her. Even if they got paid to do so, or in Rhys' case with his life depending on it. He knew he had enough of a hold over her that he didnt even needed to be here. But still he was. Making her feel dizzy as she stepped too close and smelled his skin again. Making her want to grab onto him and abuse him as her newest toy. Making her feel small and vunerable. Making her want to murder him..
She opened her mouth to speak up again, but did not find the words to finish her own statement. Instead she moved back towards him again, laying her hand in the back of his neck staring down at him. "And you then. What will your first tasks as future prince of Valyria be hmm?" She asked a cool smile on her lips, scratching her fingernails slowly over his skin. Waiting, wondering. Expecting it all.
